i love my race red but sometimes wish i had a more subtle colour as the attention is sometimes annoying and cops can see me from a mile away
you got nothing to worry about if you aren't breaking the law.

Honestly I almost wish I had this car in every color. I don't regret Oxford White, but I truly like every single color option. If it weren't for white, it'd be guard or DIB.

In the past eight years I've had one Alloy Metallic, four Black, including the new 2015, and one Deep Impact Blue. Yes, it gets smoking hot here in Central Texas, and black takes much effort to keep clean; not a wise choice for someone who doesn't like the idea of frequent washing waxing and detailing. Looks magnificent when clean, junkyard dog ugly when really dirty/muddy. Picking up a White GT PP to minimize rapidly increasing miles on the other one; just too much fun to drive!:headbang:

Started off wanting Magnetic, then it switched to white, then saw the black in person and fell in love and had to have it!!

I ordered my 2016 six weeks ago, and I have color regrets every day for a car I don't even own! There is no bad choice, and there is no perfect choice.

I went to Ray Skillman in Indy, since they sell a LOT of Mustangs. (They just got in twelve RS3's last month.) I literally could stand in one spot and see all the colors lined up just by turning around. My 3 favorite colors were even parked next to each other! Race Red, Yellow, and Blue.

I noticed my eyes kept being drawn to the yellow. I guess realized that all the other dark parts of the car were in contrast to the bright color. I get what someone said that the lower skirts look so plastic. OTOH, the light colored cars look slimmer this way.

So I ordered yellow. Then I changed my order to blue. Then I changed it back to yellow. I figured I should trust my original instinct, and hedge my bet for regrets.

I also get that the more subdued colors give it that "I mean business look", and/or for "stealth".
Me? I love the sun, and blue skies, warm weather, and my yellow car will be garaged all during the long winter waiting to come out and play. :(

Anyway, I had become tired of seeing all the luxury cars these days coming in variations of black, silver, white, or gray. (Even road bicycles are this way now.) It is as though these subtle "colors" are required for the customer to equate with quality. But the Mustang is my reward for years behind the wheel of a minivan. And I want mine to look a little like a race car, so I was drawn to the bright colors. IMO, DIBlue is the borderline between the bright colors (CO, TY, RR, Ruby) and the subtle colors (Guard, Mag, Silver, White, Black). DIB is beautiful, but a little dark overall, and looks too close to the other 10 million Fusions out there.

If anyone has read some of the problems i have been dealing with. Then, you know this is my second Ingot silver. I was advised by the dealership that when they placed the replacement that all problems would be cleared up. Here we are, 3000 miles into the second and have had my local dealership tell me that, "This is part of the color issues. All Ingot silver experience this." Really, My 2011 never had these issues. So explain to me how an '11 (22k) can be perfect in color and '15 (45k) have so many defects. Or is it me?

I've done a lot of mods already. So, replacing it is not an option. I had a quote to have it painted (3rd party), the quote came in at $10k.

Defect 1, 2 - are under-paint areas
Defect 3 - is the top of the roof, where the rain runs off the roof.

IGNOT Silver owners - Do you have these issues? How to find...Wash your car, wax it, pull it into the garage and put on polarized sun glasses and look at your quarter panels.

Let me know, very curious.

I have these paint defects minus the hole (that I know of) on my magnetic. It's not as obvious but thought it was just the light.

That does suck but 10k? That seems unreasonable since I can spend 5-6k for a nice custom paint job. Scary...

The grass is always greener :D I am very happy with DIB but sometimes I wonder if guard would've been better. Too many nice color options on this car!

5-6 is doable, all day!!! But 10k, not going to lie, almost laughed in his face when he quoted me the price.

That paint defect is absolutely a legitimate complaint "r" the dealer is being lazy now, they need to take care of that, whether they do warranty work repaint or the manufacturer takes care of it.

Don't get me wrong, sometimes there are spots that are hard to paint on an assembly line that are "allowed" to have slightly thin paint, but the exterior is absolutely not allowed to have that thin paint.

I would escalate that in a heartbeat if the dealer doesn't want to help you.

Where on your car is picture number 3?
