Yes, exactly. It probably is. Ford rebrands paint codes and calls them different things, ie lucid red=rapid red=red hot metalic.

I like it...had a 2016 Comp Orange GT...if I was jumping into a 500 I would take a hard look at it. I am content with my M1 though.

Yes, exactly. It probably is. Ford rebrands paint codes and calls them different things, ie lucid red=rapid red=red hot metalic.
They are two different color codes, CY vs CN for the new Code Orange paint.

This.

Calypso Coral was the first thing that came to mind. Looks reddish and yet orange depending on lighting just like my brother's '69.

Well, Calypso Coral was exactly the same as Competition Orange back in the 70s. Back then, CC was the Ford color and CO was the Mercury color.........but Ford borrowed the name CO when it came back for the SN95 and S550 :)
