But let's all compared different dynos, because that's how we should do it right? Smh

I dont have to? Getting these ecus running well is still very new. Its not happening currently. But it will be. Stop comparing your dyno which read lower then others with less. Ill repeat it again. Trap speed is the indicator of power. Do you honestly think RBS550 only really makes 415whp:lol: not with a trap of 123 he isnt.Show me someone with 500whp with basic Bolt ons
Thata what youre paying attention too. You dont think itll happen because of all the dynos youve paid attention so far. I watch trap speeds, not stupid dynos. Youre the one worried about 500whp. Itll happen whether its a dyno jet or whatever. Itll eventually happen at some point. Better heads make more power. Its not hard to figure out here. But let's all compared different dynos, because that's how we should do it right? Smh
Also with an auto and stall converter autos can read lower so i would agree rbs550 def has more than 415. But even he said he only uses it for tuning. And like you noted the trap speed will speak to power levels.I dont have to? Getting thee ecus running well is still very new. Its not happening currently. But it will be. Still. 450s doesnt trap 123. Especially through an auto. When youve been drag racing a long time you learn a thing or two. Been doing it 25+ years myself. Also with an auto and stall converter autos can read lower so i would agree rbs550 def has more than 415. But even he said he only uses it for tuning. Yeah i agree. And i saw rbs550 myself in bowling green. He may be over 123 now. Whats crazy is some fi guys dont trap more than him lol.Still. 450s doesnt trap 123. Especially through an auto. When youve been drag racing a long time you learn a thing or two. Been doing it 25+ years myself.
That weight difference is huge.Just for reference, my race car makes about 575 HP (crank) from an NA 327 and runs a 3 speed, 5.xx gears and 30" tires, traps low 130s......
Low 130s vs low 120s is 100 HP.....
Of course my race car is probably 1000 lbs lighter than the Mustang. That is also 100 HP.
If a Mustang is making 420-470 I could see it in the 120-125 MPH range with the right converter and tires.
Just saying, power:weight ratio plus the right nonpower mods and you could get close. There could be a fudge factor of course, but what fun would it be if there wasn't?That weight difference is huge.that will add trap and decrease et on its own. Btw nice job doing more with less.
420? Maybe if it's geared to holy hell with the right tire sizing. We dont have gears that fit in our rear end that will do that. Its a bit different with these. The s550 would need a lot of weight taken out. Speaking of which, starkey has hers at 3088. Either way, the people trapping 120s in this chassis NA arent gutted to piss like that.
Of course but im keeping it in the realm of whats actually being done by guys not using super light cars, gears that dont exist for us. 3.73s is all that is out right now. Gears over a 4.10 wouldn't fit in the oe diff housings. People doing this with closer to full weight then gutted, and non caged cars. With what the people have to work with right now, its more of a reflection of power.Just saying, power:weight ratio plus the right nonpower mods and you could get close. That's why I said I am using a three speed. Mustang has a 6 speed..... Don't need all that gear.Of course but im keeping it in the realm of whats actually being done by guys not using super light cars, gears that dont exist for us. 3.73s is all that is out right now. 1000lbs less and your gears and damn near 500whp make it not apples to apples at all. Sorry i respectfully disagree. That's why I said I am using a three speed. Mustang has a 6 speed..... Don't need all that gear.
Weight is overcome by power in a drag race.
The comparison is closer than you think.
You missed the point. I didn't say he should run the same times as me. I said low 120s is plausible. 123 not that fast.....it's just that everyone else is so slow!1000lbs less and your gears and damn near 500whp make it not apples to apples at all. Sorry i respectfully disagree.
The only other thing i gather you could be suggesting is that low 400s whp traps 123 with his current weight and set up. I disagree with that. You missed the point. Have you ever been involved with or built or raced a properly set up race car? When you do it right, you don't need a whole bunch of power. The only other thing i gather you could be suggesting is that low 400s whp traps 123 with his current weight and set up. I disagree with that.
