Ok i have a 2015 mustang ecoboost with performance package and i love the car don't get me wrong. I just feel like the car stops making power after 4-5k rpms. So im looking at getting a tuner for the car as well as a intake/exhaust.
Is there any reason why i shouldn't go with cobb? Ive been doing my own research and cobb seems like the best bang for the buck and features. As for intake, ive been looking at the mmr and MAP intakes. I do like the was the mmr looks better but ive been hearing that the car feels less torquey. Should i get the MAP intake instead, i know the mmr is aluminum and the MAP is stainless due to all the testing they did but i mainly want the one with the biggest potential for down the road tuning.

If you prefer the MMR intake over ours because of the color we can do a custom powdercoat color on our intake, just have to request it. Price would be the same as our Wrinkle Black version. The 3.5" intake from MMR is just too big for the factory turbo, and you'll never be able to utilize it to its full potential. I see you mentioned our testing, as you know we tested 3" versus 3.5" and 3" came out ahead.

Regarding Cobb, it is the best tuner out there for the EBM in my opinion. There is a reason it is my go to choice for my custom tunes and e-tuning. It is always being improved by Cobb, it has many features, looks better than any other tuner on the market, and the main thing for me is its data logging capabilities.

If you purchase the AP from us, you will get 1 free custom tune file for your setup. Then you have the option of doing an E-tune later down the road if you change your vehicles setup (ex: E30, Meth injection, Downpipe, Exhaust, turbo kit).

You get the benefit of a custom tune that performs better than the Cobb OTS map. That is what gives us the edge over everyone else, we give discounts on our product packages like P1, P1.5, and soon the P2. If buy 2 map products at once get give a little discount there as well.

As far as tuning hardware goes Cobb has the most features. Ability to change the tune on the fly is pretty impressive. Most important thing you can do is to pick a tuner that you are comfortable with. Lots of great guys on this Site, Adam from MAP seems like a great guy, Alex from American Muscle is great to but they tune with SCT. RIP guys seem great, and unleashed. Lots of options with these cars :) I ended up going SCT because I used Bama in the past and had great service and no issues with my tune. I'm also going to have a custom dyno tune done at Modern Muscle and they tune for SCT.

From what I've read and researched, Cobb has a very conservative OTS tune (without any custom tuning from vendors) So you'll have some decent power (but not like a custom tune, I would go with MAP for that) and you'll be able to use it safely.

I would never Trust a base tune made for the masses. If im getting a tune im going to the shop that supplies these things and im getting a tune from the manufacture. The subaru guys love to buy cobbs and select their mods on the turner and run those tunes. A couple months later they have all kinds of problems. If you want to properly tune a car its gotta see the dyno or you have to go read up on tuning and log a couple runs and go from there. Great thing about the new stang is the afr digital gauge which is what mine will stay on when i get my car tuned. And btw MAP uses cobb to tune. Plus the launch control feature is great considering all of us are modifying the car for faster 1/4 mile times and overall quickness.

I'm from San antonio also.. I'll have a mmr intake forsale soon.. I'm going with a jlt intake and map accessport with there custom tune soon... I like the mmr but it just makes noise and didn't really feel any difference.. Almost like it loses power cause it's to big for factory turbo...we need to get a meet going soon with all the 15 ecoboost around San Antonio area

Yeah man paulid is in the area too.... I highly doubt that the mmr intake is any more or less better than the jlt or others. I think the main thing people are not doing that will probably really wake the car up is a downpipe. Flow after the turbo is pretty important when it comes to making power.

I have a JLT intake and a CoBB tuner purchased from MAP (Adam). I don't think one could ask for much more as far as customer service and response time from MAP. The choice is yours of course but my vote is MAP!
