I think that once you become ok with the fact that at the end of the day your car is still a 4 cylinder, you'll be much happier with it's performance (once you add a few things). I'm old. I've had fast cars. My buddy just spent a TON on his new GT and he got what he wanted: A VERY FAST CAR...
I'm leasing my car and promised my wife that I wouldn't add anything that couldn't be removed. I have Adam's tune, intake and next year it will be his intercooler (installing intercooler before DP on Adam's recommendation). I couldn't be more pleased with MAP! :D
I think when one mentions MUSTANG, everyone associates it with the GT. The EcoBoost is new. Give it some time to make a name for itself and for people to "get used" to it just like they did the GT's......
What RPM are you bringing the car out at? Are you shifting into 3rd? If you are, try making a run just using 1st and 2nd.......You'll probably hit the rev limiter but that won't hurt anything. The time that you'll lose shifting from 2nd to 3rd will be greater than finishing the run in 2nd...
So even if I set the car to "Track" mode (which disables the speed limiter) and turn off the Traction control and DSC I still have to pull the ABS fuse?
Which brings me to another question: Does setting the car to "Track" mode automatically disable Traction Control and DSC or does that still...
Is it common knowledge that the ABS fuse is to be pulled to get accurate torque readings during a Dyno pull? You guys that have dyno'd your cars: Did you pull your ABS fuses??
Thanks
I assume you did NOT pull your ABS fuse? The reason I ask is this is the first I've heard of pulling this fuse to get accurate torque readings. I just finished a pull yesterday and I had NOT pulled my fuse. My rear brake calipers were north of 200 degrees! I might add that I did NOT have my...
I agree with Renner. I pulled today, too. My results were 285whp/314wtq. My mods are JLT intake and MAP custom tune. That's it. No DP, intercooler or plug change. I am pleased with those numbers. I know torque should be higher but it is what it is. They are only numbers. I expect to see...
