Why do you need a pedal stop?

I can see the pedal extension being useful, it would allow you to move the seat back more and still fully push the pedsl.

Quicker shifts. There's a little "slop" in the bottom of the pedal travel, about an inch is my guesstimate beyond the clutch engagement/disengagement point that a clutch stop would eliminate.

A clutch stop is much more than that. It eliminates all the extra play in the pedal, as well as having the extra benefit of being able to move your chair around.

If you pay attention to where the engagement point is, you will notice that there is at least an inch of slack beyond the engagement point. The idea is to set the bottom of the arc just below the engagement point to allow the driver to make quicker, smoother shifts.

I'm working on a DIY version. Gotta somehow deal with start/stop switch.
Hmm thats dissapointing that there isn't anything already made. But im interested in hearing about your diy solution.

I made one for my M3 with a simple threaded desk base leveler and added a round felt pad to it. Of course the M3 had a threaded hole on the floor behind the pedal. I haven't looked to see if our Mustangs have threads behind them yet.

I made one for my 328 like these. This won't work on the mustang. The easiest thing to do is to retrofit something on the bottom side of the pedal.

Be careful with a clutch stop as not fully disengaging the clutch will cause premature wear on the transmission and clutch. The extra time it takes to get to the bottom of the stroke might be engineered into the system to allow the clutch to fully disengage. Ford added free movement to the GT500 in 2013 because problems.

good word . I've played around with it a little. Seems like it's well over an inch at the bottom of pedal travel that the clutch is completely disengaged. But your right, need to be careful when modifying.
