Has anyone felt a bit of vibration in the clutch pedal while shifting? Sometimes I feel a bit of vibration or tingle in the pedal when it's at the end of its travel (i.e. pedal is near or at the floor). I notice it most often when shifting into upper gears below 3K rpm. Could it be some VooDoo engine vibration being transmitted up into the clutch pedal? The clutch is operating normally, otherwise. Thanks.

The car's only a week old, but I just noticed it today. I don't always feel it, and it's not a lot of vibration, but I figured I would ask.

Absolutely not. I never ride the clutch. I've been driving manual transmissions for over 30 years and I've never had a clutch replaced due to abuse. In general, I'm not hard on a car at all.

I did feel that a bit when the car was new, especially due to the hard 2 stage spring in the clutch... I changed to Steeda spring and never felt it again.

Thanks. Considering the number of posts about the strong clutch assist spring, I thought that it may have something to do with it. Actually, depending on how my foot is positioned on the clutch pedal, affects how much vibration I feel. Closer to the top the foot, where it's likely more sensitive to this kind of sensation, I can feel it more.

i can vouch for that OP, I felt mine after 3 months, the way I describe it is the feeling of ruffles chips surface that ribbed feel rubbing against the clutch

Thanks for the input. Why are you considering changing out the Steeda spring?

Steeda Clutch Spr

I find the clutch, and engagement to be less than ideal for street use. Especially stop and go, stop and go.

Very light flywheel, lots of power, numb engagement feel.
Yes, it works fine on a track, but it is a little annoying on the street.

The Steeda spring has a little progressive feel to it and lets you feel the area where the clutch will connect as it extends back out. The stock spring seems to have little feedback and a constant rate of push back to open.

Its not night and day better, but it is better.

The best thing you can do is get an MGW shifter IMO. That is another realm.

First thing I did was yank the stock spring in favor of the Steeda. IMHO it was the worst feeling clutch engagement I've experienced. Figuring out where the spring rate is changing vs actual feedback from clutch engagement/disengagement was really difficult for me.

If I can find a shop over the winter to install the MGW - that'll be a great winter upgrade.

***LOL, that's harsh but I am with you. It does work well on a track.

***Me too

***You will be very happy, it is solid as a bank vault, and makes shifting
***improve upstairs even with the clutch downstairs.

I remember the very first time I drove this car, it felt like a 500 HP brick.
I came from the dark side (M3 Audis Z cars) and they just have a different feel in the clutch steering department. The GT350 is really well suited to track work (that what we all wanted LOL) but you have to trade off some civility on the road. I like it, and plan on keeping mine a long time. It is an instant classic and a riot to drive fast. Plus it's made in the US, that makes me happy.

First time I drove mine I remember thinking like holy crap - where's the low end torque.

Then the first time I shifted into 2nd (and subsequently 3rd and 4th) at ~8000rpm I remember thinking screw low end torque - this is where it's at!

True again, but I have had many fast motorcycles, and they did the same thing.
I would rather have it build with a broad powerband. It is much easier to drive fast. You can turn it up and down like a dial.

It reminds me of my Honda CBRs.
