Clutch engagement

Just curious where others clutch engagement is. I have a 2016 with pp and the clutch grabs pretty high towards the top and it's more like a on off switch. Almost 9,000 miles no racing or clutch dumps.

Get the Steeda spring to change the on/off feel to awesome.

Mine is really high too. I wish it was closer to 1/2 travel instead. The Steeda spring definitely helped to be able to feel the engagement point better and resulted in much smoother shifting for me.

2016 GT base, engagement is stupid, almost uncontrollably high. I am hoping someone figures out a fix for it at some point.

I took my spring out completely but I can still feel where it grabs it's just so off on. I going try to find someone with the steeda spring and try it out.

Even ecoboost engagement are high at the top of the pedal travel. Steeda helper spring resulted in much smoother feel.

Base GT, mine is high too, about 70% from the top and it engages very fast. Steeda clutch spring helped a bit but it's still relatively vague feeling. You can't feel the "texture" at the friction point, just a smooth vague vibration. It's super dampened or something. Just a quirk of the car, you get used to it. Noticed most high HP cars have high friction points. My 2016 Miata had the weirdest clutch (to me) ever. Bite point was near the floor at about 20% travel and it wouldn't fully bite until about 80%. Super easy to drive but I didn't like it.

See this is how I love my cars, just off the floor the clutch starts to bite then I can just let off the clutch at about 60-70% and it not lurch or freak out. This car's clutch is like wait wait wait bite shudder bite go

Steeda could make some money off releasing a new master cylinder or something that was adjustable.

First gear is about half way for me while the others are almost right off the floorboard. With all the vibrations I think first is going south. I can't stand this clutch and tranny. Sounds and feels like it's going to blow after long drives.

I took mine out at the dealership parking lot. I really wish the engagement point was lower, it's the most frustrating thing about the car IMO

Cool, no spring helps but engagement point is still high. Probably the highest I've ever had.

Yep definitely the highest I've ever experienced. I'm almost at the point of getting the adjuster for it. After 2 years I really haven't felt any better about this clutch and it's engagement point.
