Ok so my clutch on my 15 gt has always grabbed at the same point of the pedal release and just yesterday it grabbed very low in the pedal causing me to almost stall the car. What would cause it to engage like that? It has done this maybe 2 or 3 times since I bought the car and it now has 7k miles on it. Any ideas? Thanks

Well it has been pretty cold lately. Also I was thinking air in the line could be a reason to but I just don't understand why all of a sudden that would happen.

This may almost be insulting, but i will ask anyways since I did it once or twice...

Was your foot or body not in the normal place it is when you drive? On a couple of occasions I shifted my foot or body for whatever reason, but my mind was thinking otherwise and i just chunked the clutch and stalled it. Total brainfart...but it happened.

No it definitely engaged really low on the pedal

How many miles are on the car? Does the slave cylinder share the same reservoir as the brakes? If so it could be easier to get air in the line if the fluid is getting low due to the brakes wearing down. On a side note I do have a pair of dress shoes that has a thicker sole than most of my other shoes that changes how I operate the clutch. Seeing as how you have only had this happen once or twice this doesn't seem the case though.

This actually happened to me as well. I posted a thread too. Take it to about 40mph and shift to 5th then go WOT, if the RPM goes up any quickly then the clutch is slipping. Mine happened when it started getting cold. Hearing about the fluid is new for me and I haven't checked it since I bought the car, got about 10,200 miles

I took my '05 out today for some beer. The hydraulic clutch engaged very low to the floor on the first stab, but then felt normal for the rest of the drive. It does that sometimes without issue.
