Here's one from about a month ago where I almost lost it too on a turn. Accelerated just a little bit and just a little bit too early.

Wasn't anyone behind me and I didn't hit anything either.

probably because of your illegal turn :)

No video, but a couple weeks ago I had a major pucker up moment. A police officer decide he wanted to flick on his lights and cut across two lanes of expressway traffic so he could sit in the median. Somebody in front of me apparently didn't know the rules of the road and came to a complete stop. Suddenly, the car two cars in front of me was diving off onto the shoulder and i had a split second to put on my brakes....car in front of me obliterated the stopped car and I was so close to their bumper that I had to go in reverse first to get around her. I couldn't believe I didn't hit anyone or get hit from behind (car behind me pulled off onto the shoulder as well). Checked my trackapps when I got to work (i know they aren't 100% accurate) and it read .96G for braking lol :eyebulge::eyebulge: Previously my highest was around .6/.7. Thank god I had the PP brakes.

Almost lost it at 65 the other night too

This is sort of believable, but going to need pics of the passenger to verify this story... :D

What was illegal about my turn? The light was green in addition to a green turning arrow. The only difference from that turn and any other turn was just simply accelerating a little bit more than the usual.

Neither were scary for me. If I had to brake hard enough for my ABS to go off and maybe reach for the handbrake, then that would be one thing. More pissed off. My first Veloster had got hit 4 times in parking lots over the course of two months. One was so bad at the Brandon Mall that my reflector was on the floor. I didn't care so much because I knew I wasn't keeping that car long, I mean of course I was pissed but my mustang is different. It's my baby. I don't want any dings even if they can be buffed out. And I already have a ding in my fender that I don't know where it came from. I always park about 100 feet away from a building I'm entering.
I'm not clear on why you would use the handbrake? You've mentioned it a couple of times. Correct me if I'm wrong but the handbrake isn't going to slow you down any faster than stepping on the brake pedal. It's an "emergency" brake, like if you lost all normal braking power.

No, technically it's a parking brake. Using it in an emergency situation will do nothing more than give you something to hold onto. It adds no additional braking force.

Oh... I don't think that would probably be the reason I almost lost it though ;). In fact, a sharper turn would have probably been worse for me in that case. :)
