In some states, it's ok to pass on a double yellow, if there are no "no passing" signs

Those situations apply to emergencies and farm equipment traveling <15mph. Never in situations passing a normal motor vehicle. In California, it is never appropriate to cross except in emergencies or as directed by construction crews.

He was just trying to block u guys. Did the black stang instigate it by tailgaiting?
Nope, he was just passing the guy. I was the fifth car in line to do so.
Guy did not like being passed.
Most people know the easier solution would have been if he just pulled off the road like most normal people do. I know that if there were a bunch of cars behind me that started passing me, obviously wanting to get by, pulling over to do so would not hurt my feelings. Helluva lot easier than trying to block people and put my own life at risk.
I see people do that with motorcycle drivers. They don't like them zipping by them, splitting lanes (legal in CA), so they try to block them. Just let them by and move on with life

The easiest answer is not to pass... I really do hate it when people do this and try to justify it.

I see that
I mean, you could say "I took a risk and nearly paid the price" but you can't simply say "that guy shouldn't have tried to block me" because you never should have been there to begin with...

Same thing with the fucking idiots who try to elicit sympathy from people when they wreck their car or worse when they're street racing. Don't blame others or seek pity when the fuckup is clearly your own fault

Don't worry Kat, I drive the same way. I treat traffic control devices as suggestions as well. They're for the 95 percent of drivers that need guidance on where and how to drive.

To be fair, y'all *were* crossing a double yellow.
Doesn't mean the jackass has to try and block people passing ... could have resulted in a bad wreck. That move was way more dangerous then passing on a double yellow on a long enough straight away with nobody coming the other way. People shouldn't play "off duty cop" and try to run people off the road like they're fleeing felons.

Wouldn't have happened if people weren't illegally passing. Period. Righteous arrogance doesn't make anybody more justified in blaming the other party.

Wouldn't of happened either of the jackass didn't have road rage. People shouldn't be playing off duty cop on the roads. If he doesn't like them passing illegally then he should get their license plate numbers and call 911 ... NOT try to run them off the road. Anyone who thinks that idiot was justified is just as screwed up in their thinking.

I see jackass making illegal moves every 5 minutes on the road, but I don't try to run them off the road over it.

The picture below is one I took the other day on the way home. Can't really see it in the picture but the sign in the back window on the left has a smiley face and says, "SMILE, YOU'RE ON CAMERA!". When I passed him I saw he had a dash cam which I assume has both front and rear facing cameras. What I get from reading his sign is, "I'm a good driver and don't be a dumbass because if you cause something, I have it on tape" or something to that effect anyways. I would assume from reading this that they would be a passive driver taking it easy down the road.

Instead, this is the guy cutting in and out of traffic, over and over again, to gain one car length here and there. This just irked my ass and is why I got a picture and wanted to post in this thread. Normally I see someone driving like this and say whatever, you're a dumbass. The fact that this guy was driving like this while waving his "You're on camera!" banner just pissed me off. Bet he isn't showing that footage to the police. If I wasn't driving a work truck with the company name plastered on it I would've been beside him yelling at him out the window. Not saying it's the right thing to do but pretty sure that would be me. Don't know if it should've bothered me that much but it just burnt my ass. Grrrrr......
