I had a cracked tire rim which was replaced but the above message persists whenever I start the car. I have to click "Ok" in order to dismiss it. Does anyone know please how I might get this to stop appearing?

It will be in your driver's gauge cluster. Use the steering wheel buttons to navigate.
  1. Turn the ignition on: Put your key in the ignition and turn it to the ON/RUN position (or press the push-button start without pressing the brake pedal) so the dashboard displays illuminate.
  2. Clear the initial popup: If the "Service Tire Mobility Kit" warning is taking up the center screen, press the OK button on the left side of your steering wheel to temporarily dismiss it so you can see the main menu.
  3. Navigate to Settings: Use the arrow keys on the left side of your steering wheel to scroll through the main menu options and select Settings.
  4. Go to Vehicle Settings: Under the Settings menu, scroll down and select Vehicle.
  5. Find the Mobility Kit Menu: Scroll down through the vehicle options until you find Tire Mobility Kit (or an abbreviated variation like Mobility Kit) and press OK.
  6. Change the Interval: You will see options to set the reminder interval (typically 1 Year, 2 Years, 3 Years, or 4 Years).
    • To reset the timer: Toggle the selection to a different year interval, press OK, and then toggle it back to your preferred setting (e.g., 4 years) and press OK again. This action forces the system to restart the countdown clock from zero.

The post above has the correct directions to get rid of the message. The message has nothing to do with your cracked rim, however. It's telling you that the sealant in your pump kit has expired.

Funny, I’m coming up to eight years with car in July and have never gotten the message, even though I’m pretty sure there is a sticker on the canister which indicates I’m well past the date.

I would never use the sealant, even if I hadn't purchased a spare. If the leak is bad enough that using the pump every half hour or so won't keep you going, the sealant likely won't help much, if at all. Past that, it gums up the TPMS system in a lot of cases.

Ha yup of course you're right. I did realize that today. It was sort of a coincidence, but not even really if I had ever processed what the message said instead of just being annoyed that it was there.

That kit is as useless as T*** on a bull. Buy the Spare Kit and have peace of mind as long as you own the car.

The pump is pretty nice. I've used it a few times when changing tire sets in the fall / spring to top up the pressure the tires have lost while in storage. But, as noted, I would never use the sealer.

Yep, my car wasn’t ordered with one and I had the Ford kit provided as part of the deal. If you shred a tire out in the middle of nowhere, the goo isn’t going to help you.
