Did you loosen all the supports and hold it up/down/left/right before tightening them down?

I believe so. I had to wrestle it onto the pipe. It is more than likely me doing something wrong. This was the first time for me personally cutting on an exhaust. I have done catbacks before without issue.

I loosened the hanger over the diff for a bit more wiggle room and finally got the pipe to slide in enough to cover the expansion cut on the muffler. Thankfully it doesn't leak.

If it ever gets warm here in the Northeast, I will have to get back under there to tweak it better. I am thinking that if I loosen the clamp and the hanger again that there isn't much room for adjustment but I will try.

What I can tell you is that we have a great relationship with the manufacturer of those items and when we brought the issue to their attention a long time ago they sent us new inventory that we spot checked and then they assured us that this would not be an issue moving forward.
Good enough for me. At some point i am going to throw an MRT on with my Roush axle back. Would like to hear it in person first, but i know that's a pipe dream. No pun intended!

Hey Guys,

Great thread. I put this set on yesterday with the stock resonator. They sound great at start-up and, as mentioned, do drone in the lower rpms. Passenger side fitment is horrible. That side took the longest to install. Driver side installed no problems. Debating whether or not to get something that fits better as I lost sleep last night thinking about the gap.
Picture would be great.... Thanx:thumbsup:

I love the sound, but it's still very bassy in the cabin. I've played with the sound tube and it makes no difference. I've put a heavy down comforter in the trunk, it made no difference. I know a guy at a local car audio shop who is going to see what kind of sound deadening options they have. Otherwise I'll probably go the noico route. Driving with the 3.73s at 70moh is around 2100rpm. It has constant bass in the cabin.

So in 2-3 months the price on these shot up $50 or so??

I read all 16 pages and I really think this is the set I'm going to buy (from LMR so I don't get the 6% sales tax of CJ's or AM). But I saw people back in Feb reporting $267 (and lower) and now LMR is at $300.

Popularity/performance drive the price up on this kit??

Thanks!

Like many things, they were on sale then. I almost pulled the trigger and decided to wait. Around memorial day the price may drop again, because that's what seems to happen around holidays.

And ... that $33 more, not $50 :)

Good point about Memorial Day. I'll wait a few weeks.

And I was thinking of CJ's current $315 price with the $50 difference.

I just had mine installed this morning. Definitely like the sound at start-up, but I am hearing drone in the cabin. Not too happy about that. I'll give them a chance to break-in a bit, but I doubt that I will keep them if it continues like that.

The driver side muffler went on without a hitch and aligned perfectly. The passenger side was a major bitch. The guy took out the torch and bent the hangar in 2 places to get it aligned right.
