Chipped my Rim

Needless to say...this has been grinding me since it happened last night. :headbonk:

I met up with some friends for dinner then head to my buddy's place for poker night. The spot where we ate, i'm not to familiar with, I hopped a curb not seeing it. I continued pulling out, and already planned to stop at the gas station a few miles down the road for some beer.

When arriving to the gas station I got out and looked. I chipped my rim and the tire had a slight cut where the tire meets the rim. I drove 30 more miles since, and tire pressure hasn't dropped.

This is my front driver side rim/tire. Black PP wheel for GT.

Can I order just a single one without paying through the nose or should i just deal with it?

It would be a very expensive replacement rim. Just get black touch up paint

Maybe have it repaired until prices come down. Also get the tire looked at to make sure the damage is not worse than it appears

The wheel is a direct sale from Ford racing parts and isnt too bad cost wise. However, It will probably happen again, and I would save it for the wheel when the damage is really bad.

Part number is M-1007-M199B for the front wheel and msrp is $329.

If u have to replace the tire it won't be cheap...just had to buy one...$409 just for the tire

Happened to me too after havig the car for two weeks. since the wheels are powder coated it will cost around 120 - 140 to get it fixed professionally. I put touch up paint on it and no one notices

It's pretty often here on the forum sells their rims from GTPPs cheap after they upgrade to the aftermarket. Look for the new FS topics.

i got a little curb rash on my FL wheel. black touch up & I feel much better.

I made a trip to autozone, got gloss black. match is nice. cost around 15 bucks
