Unless the driver is a professional, I wouldn't worry about getting smoked. Motor Trend couldn't get the Challenger Hellcat to beat a GT500's 1/4 mile once they put it on asphalt. This might be a tenth or so faster, but in the real world I'm guessing things will still be very close.

The more I think about it, the more I've realized it doesn't matter if they can't beat anything in the 1/4 because of traction... most quick races (in reality it's just messing around, street racing is not a good thing) with each other around me occur on the interstate from probably about 50-75mph? I have a feeling these new SRT's will be able to flex their muscle pretty well when a race isn't from a dig.

You know why I hate this. Dodge doesn't keep anything special or exclusive. It's like taking the GT500 5.8L shoving it in a Taurus/ F150/ Explorer.

Oh well I still love my soon to be LE. Dodge can try but no amount of HP will cover up terrible quality control and poor poor customer service.

Not going to lie but I'd love the Trinity in a Taurus SHO with AWD. That would be a beast! Sharing engines across models is nothing new and been going on forever. I love Ford but SRT really has done a nice job with the 15 Challenger and Charger.

I wish FORD had a dog in this fight. I know they have been developing a new AWD system that will debut on the Edge but I don't know how much power they can run thru it.

Yup, they just crushed everything in the four door segment with the Hellcat Charger. I hope both cars sell like hotcakes and Ford gets bold with a competitive offering.
