CD Player?

I was just browsing my order on the tracking website and notice that nowhere, that i can find, says anything about a cd player. looking at pictures i cant see a slot.

The description says AM/FM or premium AM/FM w/HD

I will be very disappointed if i find that my $40k car does not have a cd player.

Has anyone else noticed this or read/seen/heard?

Great question and good find....I'd expect a CD player in the car as well. Not all my tunes are iTunes or on a "stick".

Sooo.... why not?

It's soooo much easier than lugging CDs around and swapping them in and out. Plus ripping them is a piece of cake these days.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad there is still a CD slot. But man I know I'm going to use it as little as possible! ;)

My wife's Highlander has a slot for a disc used to update the Nav maps. Is it possible that's all it's there for?

I believe maps are updated with an SD memory card with the data downloaded from Ford's website.

The order guide calls out a single CD player for the V6, and none of the upgrades to the sound system changes that. It's a CD player.
