Not trying to sound like a jerk, but you’re claiming to be too busy to rip a CD (which is automatic and doesn’t need to be micromanaged once you hit “start”) while writing on internet forums. Do one CD per night, just start it before you go to bed, takes like 10 minutes per CD, and you can also rip those audiobook CDs. :cheers:CDs are still viable. I haven't completed step #1 of ripping my collection to files, because well, I stay busy in other ways.
When we go on vacation, I select a dozen or two CDs for the trip, and put them in a wallet. Yes, a full digital collection on USB would truly be superior.
CD player is also great for audiobooks, all of which are not e-audiobooks.
Once I read that 2019 will come with a should-be-properly-designed-and-built audio system (Harman knows what they are doing :clap2, I decided to stop wanting a 2018.
Funny I have a neighbor just like that too :headbonk:My 41 y/o neighbor who thinks he knows everything was showing me his stereo speaker upgrade he did in his base model dodge challenger. He turned on the radio and tried to impress me, I said "the radio sounds like crap, why not use mp3's?". I went back into my house and brought out my thumb drive with all my fav tunes on it, first he didn't know where his usb input was and then when he found it and cranked my mp3's from the thumb drive he was blown away. He had no clue that one could do that, lol..geeze some people

Guilty as charged. Not trying to sound like a jerk, but you’re claiming to be too busy to rip a CD (which is automatic and doesn’t need to be micromanaged once you hit “start”) while writing on internet forums. I've done all that my friend. But, there are times I like to listen to varied music of certain style that could be found in different genres. That's when I grab a CD with the type I'm in the mood for. It's hard to get that from a USB with 800 songs. I hope I explained it in a way that makes sense.Step 1.) rip all of your CDs to MP3 files
Step 2.) put all of your MP3 files on a USB stick
Step 3.) ?????
Step 4.) profit
