Okay cool. You don't think the downpipe will make the exhaust sound buzzy?
I don't think it would be buzzy but I do think the combination might relatively loud since it would most likely amblify things. It would probably be ok with the stock cat back since it already restricts the sound so much

Sounds like just doing the Ford Racing CatBack and the AirRaid CAI will do a decent job improving not only the sound (which to me is really secondary), but also a nice balance between the increase of the air intake & exhaust output without the need for a tune. I'm sure the engine will breath easier and more then likely, respond better.

I got My pipes and CAI at CJ Pony Parts, They shipped them very fast !! Just look around You might find a site that has them on sale !! I'm on the fence right now on the down pipe, I really don't even have My car broken in yet, want to see a comparison between a high flow cat verses a non cat down pipe, not sure if it would change sound of exhaust all that much, My car runs really good now, but the stuff I've installed was really a no brainer, more horsepower gets harder now.

Sounds like big air and a new exhaust system with a tune is a must. I cannot wait to see the price on all this haha.

Effect on Warranty

Any impact on warranty when adding Ford Racing Touring Catback? Install is pretty easy, does owner installed verse dealer installed change anything?
Same goes for CAI mod. I'd like to start with these two but I'm just a bit nervous of killing the warranty of a first year model.

Should have checked the "paperwork" first. Page 12 of the warranty book lists "Damage Caused by Alteration or Modification"

  • tampering with the vehicle, tampering with emissions system or with the other parts that affect these systems (for example, but not limited to exhaust and intake systems)
So I assume a CAI is a warranty killer but what about a Ford Racing exhaust installed by a Ford Dealer?

Its highly unlikely a dealer would deny a warranty claim for a CAI or an exhaust. But if your number one priority is your warranty don't modify the car.

I believe a lot depends on your dealer's service department. Before doing any modifications, check with them first.

I did a few changes to my previous F-150 that other forum members said their service department s would not honor. My local dealership had no issues with the same modifications.

I'll do the same as far as asking my dealership regarding various mods before I buy them. For me, the warranty "is" my top priority.

Yea I would think most of them would be cool with exhausts. You might ask if they are partnered with any exhaust shops. When I told my dealer I already had the FR catback ready to install he gave me the name of a place down the street that does a lot of work and installs for their customers. Also a friend from work bought a 2013 GT at a dealership, not sure which, but he said it was standard practice for that dealer to switch out the stock GT exhausts with the FR by borla Axel backs so his came pre modded
