trying to do the steeda diff bushings on my 18gt pp1 manual car. the rear right bushing has a steel isolator and the bushing inserts wont key into the bushings on the car. the nubs are way different. service at steeda is stumped, just my luck.... anyone ever see this?

those big plates come off and are never used again. The cutouts in the plastic mesh with the soft-rubber nubs.

Except to hurl thru the windows of the Camaros or Challengers as they leave you in their dust. :)

if i can find any. they disappear after the light turns green. i think they turn off, lol.

i ended up just cutting the nubs on the rubber so i could slide the poly ones in. otherwise it just wouldnt sit flat and curved.

Yes - in fact there is my thread about it from about a year ago - it looks basically the same as yours. Steeda was in it and said they'll check, so at least they shouldn't act surprised. My guess is there never bothered with updating their bushing inserts for 18+ cars.

That piece you took off is most likely supposed to act as damper - as wheel hop is really a vibration.

really fracking HUGE amplitude vibration! The steel plate is a sound deadener, but from the Diff growl point of view.

Ford wouldn't have put it there if it wasn't needed :).
What interests me more, is the randomness in which they seem to appear - it doesn’t seem to be consistent across model spec or year etc ?
