Carbon Is Complete

Couldn't be bothered to find my old thread, however my carbon has been dipped, it's about 1 week late however the company (Hydroworxx, Newhall) were very honest with why. First their applicator wasn't sticking, secondly they needed two days to prime the pieces properly, and then had to wait for the applicator.

My pieces have TEN... TEN! layers of gloss coat on them and you can really tell, it looks like the dip is set in a resin which is exactly how real carbon is done, so it looks incredible.
It's base coasted in Graphite grey.
It cost £210 to do it all

So it's been primed, base coated, dipped, gloss/baked x10, Polished and waxed (finished just as I turned up!)

And erm, yeah here's the pictures! Shit pictures as it wasn't until like 7pm I put them back on!
I'll get better pictures tomorrow

I've also put the red piping back around the leather kick pads I did as well !

Taking the exact same parts over there for the guys who're doing my DRLs widebody 'stang, they've held the price at £210 for that as well !

They knew the work that was involved when they gave me the quote sooo, their own fault... To be honest, materials don't cost all that much and it is their 'side business. The dipping tanks sit in a back room behind their showroom (showroom being a green Scooby, and a Pink Civic, not the most exquisite of cars, some helmet's, paintball gear, alloys etc that've been dipped). To be honest, sh1t car or upper echelon car, their work is top draw so it gets the Manders Seal of Approval :lol:. Their main work is Body work (Bodyworxx), styling, repainting and damage repair which brings in the vast majority of business.


I got some slightly better pictures this morning at around 8, but it doesn't look as all as if the sun wants to come out today :(!
