Are you trying to get it on the car before nationals? if not I’d just see what else shows up, there should be a wiide selection to check out.

I’ve seen a few 9lives wings up close on other cars, but usually the mounts are custom.

I spent more on the big carbon wing but saved money on a heavier OEM takeoff decklid. Weight between those two options is probably a wash, but the big carbon wing sure does look good.

From a weight standpoint, I like your route. The decklid is closer to the ground than the wing, and so every extra pound up high has significantly more impact.

If all goes well with this 9 lives wing, and I want more, I will spend the extra $$$ and go with something from AJ after 2024. The plan is 2024 fall Nationals, but to have my car bolted together by January 2024 so at least all the pieces and parts are on, then spend the rest of the year getting the car dialed, and figure out places to shed weight after that.

so i investigated. Steve Luca AKA serpent_stang uses it on the 350 race car and now on a 1000 whp gt500...
you should talk to him...
@SVTDSM u use atx without.issue right Steve?
I don't see a user "serpent_stang" on M6G or TMO. Is the spelling correct?

I'd bet the atx can handle that much HP. It's adding in the ABS, SC/TC, Mag ride, and power steering into the equation that I think the issues arise. Honeybadger also runs an ATX-20 with no issues. The difference being, I believe he was on a stock suspension controller.

Depending on the tune in the DSC, I believe each shock can pull up to 1600 mA every 20,000th of a second. That totals up to a lot of amp draw when entering a corner. And I think when the MR shocks are maxed out with the DSC, it's just too much. This is all my redneck math that led me to this conclusion when I totaled up the amps used in my car, and is how I arrived at my opinion. I could be totally wrong. But throwing the lead battery in the trunk, I've not had the issue since.

I hope everyone that runs a LiPo never has issues, because the weight savings is awesome, and it's a lot of money to pay, for something not to work.

I did a junkyard decklid, found one with no spoiler holes. Cost $250, shipping was $350. I would run unpainted for a bit, look at some of the reinforcement used for the APR GT250 wings, they mount in similar places. Once you have bracing etc figured out, then re-finish it.

My trunklid has held up to the GT500/GT4 style mounts, but the rear trim panel has started digging into the bumper cover. So some downforce is being made. I would add some ppf film there as a precaution.
