It messed up the front fender slightly. The body shop pulled the dent out it looks great. The problem is the bumper cover clips are broke other than that the bumper cover is perfect. The guy is top notch he told me he can replace the bumper cover OR recess a screw into fender, he says the screw will not be seen or even felt when he is done. I told him go for it.
What would you guys have done??

Except if it save you money, there is no reason not do the job correctly, replace it

i used these when my bumper clip broke. its visible forsure but works. will that screw prevent you from removing the bumper in the future? that would prob be my biggest concern

depends on the car. a base model GT I might have opted for a new bumper cover but would have considered a different one like a gt350 or gt500 bumper cover.

Good decision, you made the right call, the screw will be fine. I’ve taken the front bumper off a few times now to work on the car. Those damn clips are a pain in the ass and can easily break.
