Can anyone tell me why this happens? Once in awhile for no reason I get inmy car after it being parked overnight and it's completely powered down no lights or anything until I hit the start button. Then everything comes back on. Not a big deal but not sure why this happens. It is rare that it does, but the very first time I thought my battery was dead, but it wasn't. why does it go into a sleep mode on it's own?

Try looking at page 100 in the 2018 owners manual for the answer. That's the book conveniently supplied by Ford to help with such questions. Sorry but not going to do all the leg work for you.

I thought this was a Chevy oddity, going to sleep!?!

Matter of fact; (except for the new Corvette),
I haven't seen a Chevy that can run with a Mustang,
even if the Chevy is awake.............................................................

You have a parasitic draw most likely, or the battery is going bad. The only time my car went into sleep mode was after an entire week of sitting because I was on vacation. The fordpass app even conveniently notified me that it had happened.

I always leave doors half open (first click) in my garage, to prevent windows leaking in the future (it always happens sooner or later on frameless doors). And since there's no freaking switch to turn the stupid map lights off, they stay on until the car goes to sleep, which hapens after about 15 minutes. So my car goes to sleep every day :D.
