Hey all, great forum....

I hope you don't mind but just a quick question from a noob :)

I'm very interested in ordering a v8 gt convertible auto in black blue or magnetic.... Question is would it be quicker waiting for one to come up at
a dealers or is there a place to look for cancelled orders ? OR is it likely to be quicker to order and wait for it ?
I'm not fussed if I'm not the first owner but want to do trade in hence dealers....
Any help appreciated

Cheers

Start ringing around mate. Auto convertible may be quite rare tho but at least you don't seem to fussed on colour.

Still a 9 month wait on new orders I think. Although it seems like it's more like 7ish now.

Welcome to the family by the way!

Hello.

You won't be able to order a new Deep Impact Blue as its been discontinued. Lightning or Grabber are the new options. By far the quickest way to get your mitts on one though would be to find a cancelled order or possibly a showroom car. One of the dealers posts regularly such as this:

Not a vert or an auto but you could ping him and see if he knows of anything coming up.
Good luck!

Welcome. Quite a lot come up but if you are fussy about spec then not so much. I haven't seen a GT vert come up yet. Try our tame dealer in this thread first http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50878

One thought; most dealers have black GT verts in the showroom for demo which must come up for sale at some point soon. They won't have been ragged but they have been sat in a lot!

Thanks guys, some good advice there :)

I did find a black one at a dealers in Leeds BUT I haven't ever driven one and it was just too far away to get to in time and even though I had agreed a deal on paper with them, I couldn't commit UNTILL I have at least driven one lol - they then sold it before I could go any further .... I've sat in a fastback and liked it a lot, but don't want to drive a fastback as it will prob give me the wrong impression of what a very may be like
I have a 2014 golf R convertible with only 12k on it and it's a very very nice car indeed, bit worried I won't like the mustang as much so I have to make sure with a drive :frusty:
Worst thing is I already have in my head a load of mods I will do and have spoken to gt101 who will do all of it before I take delivery for real :headbang:

Oh well, I suppose more will come available over the coming months ...... Hopefully lol
Cheers

You don't need a test drive, you just want one simples. If you have planned your mods then you must be there I reckon.
Ordering and waiting for your exact spec is very very frustrating but I have never looked forward to ownership of any bike, car etc. as much as this.
It feels almost like joining another family. :)

Over 6 months in after ordering & never driven a manual Mustang. Auto yeah but not a manual.

I won't lie, it was a hell of a 'stride of faith' but just had to have one.

I'll be fine

Won't it? :eyebulge:

Sat in one - No
I hadn't even see one when I placed my order!!
It's a "Mustang" that's all you need to know!

As the saying goes...
"Money can't buy happiness but it can buy a Mustang and that's close enough!"

I was I Liverpool a couple of weeks back and went into showroom up there. I wanted to see colours in real life..they had a silver which I had not seen. Sales bloke there said he had 3 cancelled orders of convertible which weren't selling quickly. Hard tops fly off the shelves but verts more difficult. You could try them? No idea about colours.

Contact Evans Hallshaw in Glasgow, they have a black Vert, might be a manual, not sure, but they are selling soonish.

Welcome aboard, you don't need a test drive BTW, it does not dissapoint, I came from a 63 plate 370Z. What I would say is, don't expect Euro levels of auto box responsiveness ;)

I've not even sat in one or seen it in real life in the colour I've ordered but it's a complete no brainer to order this car, this spec, this performance, this heritage, at this price. As Nike say, "just do it"

Test drive? There is no test drive, you either want a mustang or you don't, no middle ground. My mind was made up before prices, spec or anything tangible had been announced.
