cancelled order Mustangs available

Hi Everyone,

I've been referred from pistonheads as i have several mustangs that are available soon.

All brand new, uk supplied etc. Im a Midlands Ford store, so i can provide finance and usual dealer facilities. All cars are at current RRP.

Ill update the thread as cars become available. Ive got about 5 but awaiting spec confirmations on them

First of all....

Mustang 5.0 V8 Fastback , Auto, Shadow black , ebony leather, climate seats, Reverse sensors, Shakerpro sat nav . Car is built now and awaiting shipping. ETA is approx 26/3/16


Mustang 2.3 fastback , manual , shadow black, dark saddle , custom pack. Order is committed so it cant be edited. Car will arrive approx July 2016.

Definitley the right place to come for them, just some stuff I need to clarify, and once done could you edit your original post with the price's just so people seeing at a glance can see.

Current RRP is with the +£500 price rise that happened early jan, correct? If so, you're making a £500 upsale on them if i'm not mistaken, as these cars were probably ordered before that price rise, please confirm !

Hi ,

The price protection ford motor company offers is only for when I register the car to the person it's contracted too. This means once I change the contract to the new purchaser I will pay new price for the car. Hope this helps.

had a feeling this was the case, thanks for confirming.

Can understand doing this for new buyers, but say, for myself who already has an order down, would price protection be 'allowed'?

If he makes an extra £500 on it at current list price that's fair IMO. Dealers wont be making a tonne on these cars. Current price is still good value for a mustang and the market will allow for it. I would have done this previously if the right spec car up when my car was in no-mans land.

If it's for someone who hasn't ordered yet, it's fair.

If it's for someone who would be cancelling their order, potentially losing a £1000 deposit that may not be transferable, and also having to fork £500 extra out, just to save themselves (judging by the timescales on these cars), a few months at best - It's not fair.

Unfortunately not. If the contract is changed in any way you lose the protection. If the cars go through a Model year change then sometimes it's possible to keep the previous price but mustang hasn't gone through a MY change yet.

It'll be worth the wait I assure you.

If you cancel your order they have to give you it back. It probably wont be transferable as there's nothing in that for your first dealer. Fair on who? Why would dealer number 2 give you a discount on todays prices because you previously ordered a car with someone else. It might not feel fair but in the eyes of a red blooded capitalist like me it sounds about right.
People will pay what he's asking for these cars I don't doubt if for a second.

Not to bad considering there are a few getting punted with a £35k spec for £40k or so at a well known mustang garage in the uk, i think if the spec and colour was what i wanted id happily pay another few hundred
