Yea well understand also but one someone post something on here with it seeming intent to cause a bunch of controversy, thats bullshit,89 trooper post all kind of things on here but he expains them so the ones that dont know much about this can understand it.

As i said earlier, posting these updates are fine, but only if the info is explained so that lay people who don't work for Ford interpret the info correctly. As you can see from the title of this thread, the OP didn't understand the info and cancelled his order! We don't need misunderstandings causing chaos and hard feelings.
In my opinion, there's chaos from limited information as well...not faulting you in particular, of course. Having visibility is a double-edged sword, similar to having limited information. If we can get through the next few weeks, hopefully things will settle out in Ford's production and delivery processes.

As to the OP, I think his order cancellation was a good move for him, based on the continued wait time. If there was a dealer stock car that came close to what I had wanted, I would probably do the same. Sometimes it's hard to wait in the absence of ETAs or reasons why a wait continues.

By the way, your expertise is also appreciated as much as seeing some of this information, even if the context is not always clear.

So Jimmy did you get the car or not?
As an update on this:

The car that the dealer upstate was going to hold for me had already been sold.

I went to three different Ford dealers on Saturday looking for help, and eventually was pointed to the largest Mustang dealer on Long Island, in Sayville about 60 miles east of NYC. I placed an order with them for the same car I currently have on order, with the addition of the security package and backup sensors, on a whim. The dealer told me I could get the car by Christmas, which I'm fine with.

My new order is not yet showing up on COTUS; my old order is still showing up on COTUS, although I told the dealer to cancel over three separate telephone conversations. They haven't refunded my credit card yet; I'll speak to them about that on Saturday if it hasn't been done by then.

So, in short... I'm not actually sure what's going on. Except that two different dealers have deposit money from me and I don't have a car.

Yikes I hope they don't give you grief on the refund, and good luck with the search.

Are you going to finally pay less than MSRP? :p :D
Use x-plan with a Mustang Club of America membership. I saved $2200. They actually gave me even better pricing than was on the plan.

Are you able to get your deposit back from the original dealer?
They said they would, but I haven't seen it hit my credit card yet. They've got $1,000; new dealership only took $500.

wow,

i hate it for you.. if we had cars down here i would have you fly in, teach you how to drive a manual in a race car. let you get your dream car, and set you on your way on the 95 to the NE...

but, i still have not seen a 15 mustang..

Hope you get it.

If I could find one in stock to my exact order I'd do it. The thing is it doesn't exist. My order looks to be a 1 of 1.
hahaha, same problem I'm running into... I found something pretty close. I'm likely to cancel my order. I'm tired of waiting
