I just purchased an H-pipe that I am going to add to my stock GT exhaust just to liven it up a little. Are there any tips out there I could add for a little style? I don't like the look where the tips stick out too far, so I want them as close to stock length as possible. Is this doable keeping the stock mufflers? I want the slanted as well.

Thanks,

Todd

Bumping...

Still looking for tips. I added the H pipe and am happy with the sound so am going to leave it this way for now. When I had the H Pipe installed the mechanic said that I would need to find tips that are angled up if I want to use the stock mufflers as the stock tips bend upwards before going out.

Has anyone been able to put straight aftermarket tips on the stock mufflers? Or would it just be easier and more cost effective to just replace the mufflers as well?

Thanks

I think you gonna have to cut the factory tips off, weld some tubes on and install whatever style you like.

It would be tough to fit tips on the stock mufflers due to odd angle they have. You would have to cut the old tips off almost flush and weld a big 4" inlet/4-4.5" outlet tip slightly off center of the ~3" hole left. Tip would need to be short like 6-7" I believe.

Magnaflow sells a variety of tips. Kind of pricey for just tips though. Exhaust shops should have custom tips available as well.

Corsa tips sometimes pop up for sale in the marketplace and are slanted.

Thanks for all the "tips" guys, however I don't think any of the straight tips are going to work because the factory tips curves up and then out. I think they would actually have to weld the new tip on off center and higher like what was suggested above. Sounds like it would be easier to just get some aftermarket mufflers. Any suggestions for a muffler that is similar to stock in sound, or maybe a tad more aggressive?

The second ones you have listed are what I have on my car.
Same here. I cut the 2.5" section out on a bandsaw and welded them to a 3" flare to go over the 3" pipe on the Corsa Mufflers and they look good!

Same I cut mine with an angle grinder and slid them over my dynomax bullets.
