I ordered a new Motocraft tpms sensor and had Walmart install it on the tire, they were not able to detect the sensor.

I have a tool as well, I put the car in tpms learning mode by pressing the brake and starting 3 times twice.

The new sensor will not register, when I try to register the other sensors, the car beeps, but not for the new sensor.

I will go to the dealership if I can’t fix this, but was wondering if anyone has any ideas what I could try.

Btw, my interior map lights are flashing and I believe it is due to the tpms. Had to remove the bulbs so I can at least drive. ☹

Are you sure you bought the correct TPMS?
I sure hope so. Now it is installed and didn’t keep the package bag for the tpms

I ordered it from fordpartsonsale.com and part number is F2GZ-1A189-G

It does say it fits the 2015 V6

Pretty sure all the sensors need to be the same. You may need to buy 3 more.

Only two things I can suggest.
Once you were in the program mode did you start at the drivers side tire and go clockwise around the car?
An old trick was, with the car on, to let a lot of air out of all the tires, then refill them and try to reset them then.
As an aside, I didn't know the interior light would flash from the TPMS but apparently several Ford vehicles do that.
Hope you get it worked out without a dealer trip.

If it's the correct Motorcraft sensor wouldn't that be like the existing stock ones?
I think his stock ones were superseded w/ newer versions.

You'd think they would be backwards compatible. Maybe that's too logical for Ford...

Yes, program mode starts at the front left tire and that is the one with the new sensor and since the car can’t find it I am stuck.

If I try to start with any other tire, the car detects the sensor, but eventually can’t get the new sensor up.

I am going to try to deflate the tire a few times.

Went to quicklane and they couldn’t wake up the sensor either, so I can only think the sensor was a dud.

Had to install a new sensor.
