I'm going to order a 2016 GT as soon as I can. Which package should I order?

Depends on preference. If you're more performance oriented, obviously pick the performance package. If you want it as more of a cruiser with muscle and aren't too concerned with higher performance levels, get the California special. Personally I don't like the looks of the CS, and the PP mustang is an awesome bargain, so I went with that.
Assess your priorities/wants, I guess, lol

Do you have a 2015 and you're ordering a 2016? Why? Just curious.

Personally, I always thought the California Special was a bit lame. Nice spoiler, but what else? The PP at least gives you a racecar.

I wish it would use less gas instead.

What are your goals with the car?

If it's just a DD that you want to stand out a little bit from the typical Mustangs, then get the GT/CS.

If you want something that is a little more buttoned up, then opt for the PP.

Both are great packages. Don't get fooled into thinking the non-PP car is a dog, either. It handles great, especially with optional summer rubber on it (or the factory optional 20" w/265 tires). I'm not 100% sure what the GT/CS comes with in terms of wheels/rubber, but that may affect your choice. For what it's worth, my 2013 GT/CS came with 245/45/19 PZero Nero A/S tires on 19x8.5" wheels...

Search here in this forum. Someone posted on the CA. edition. I'd seriously take a look at it first. My personal opinion is it looks like a JC Whitney poster car..... The PP is a serious bargain if the extras are something you want.

I went with the PP because of resale alone. People are going to really want those PP cars 3 or 4 years down the road.

Get the PP.

The car was MEANT to have it.

Don't get the CS.

you don't need a "different" graphics and grille setup with chrome! Where the weatherstripping is.

GT/CS is a package whose time has come (in 1968) and gone (in 2008). Looks lame on this body. Only thing worse is the Pony package.

Get the PP if you want a more hardcore car. At least you can order silver wheels with it in 2016. But don't ever think the plain GT isn't a performance car. It is, very much. It needs summer tires to be complete, but it's very buttoned down and no one complains that it has a "bouncy" ride. Many PP owners have complained about that, though many have not.

Not a bad call to be made. It'll be a Mustang no matter how you spec it.
