My intuition tells me the real bump in power comes from the tune.

There's the throttle-body too. Change the CAI and throttle-body, and you gotsta' change the tune.

You do realize that's a lot more than just a CAI, right?
Yes its the procal tool the CIA and the Bullitt throttle body and all the hardware
my question tho is is it worth it compared to other systems and options. because the money is not to far off going either direction i want to do my due diligence before deciding which way to go. also with it being ford there is the warranty staying intact as well

Actually.....I think it's warranty is just for the first 3/36, and after that you have 0 engine warranty. I think this actually destroys the 5/60K powertrain warranty, IIRC.

If I'm wrong, someone will let us know.

I have a friend who got it, and he loves it. The extra TQ down low is very appealing, since that's a weakness of the Coyote engine, and the MT82-D4 gearing.

it does say if installed by Ford or a red seal ASE certified it will be warrantied, also i only have 6800 miles on the car so about 15 months left on warranty. i guess i was curious to see how people liked going this route vs. aftermarket. wanting to spend my modding money smartly.

Double check what it does to the 5yr/60,000 powertrain warranty.

If that's a concern for you.

I have one on my car. To clear the warranty thing up. Ford Performance gives you a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty on the kit/calibration. It does not void the factory Ford warranty as long as the kit is installed by a dealer or ase mechanic even though most could install it themselves with their eyes closed.

It will give you some extra torque/hp and will give you better throttle response. You will have to use 91/93 gas if you don't already.
Imo it isnt worth the price they charge. Sure you see a little extra power, but its not something that will make your jaw drop. Its a calibration to make the car more like it should have been stock.
Would I have spent the price on it again? No. Is it a safer thing to do vs a tune and voiding the warranty? Yes.

We have sold quite a few of those kits and have heard back from customers that they were impressive with the power it picked up. As others have stated, its mostly from the throttle body and tune combination but its a great way to add power and keep the warranty with no headaches. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out anytime. https://www.lethalperformance.com/f...and-tune-2018-2020-mustang-gt-m-9603-m8b.html

If the buyer has an A10R80 trans. The tune reprograms the trans too.

This is the best option to preserve your warranty.

If you plan on busting the warranty? Then go with a tuner and add your own mods.

IMO the air cleaner housing isn't needed. Spend the money elsewhere IMO.

Just drop a K&N in your stock CAI.

Buy your own throttle body install yourself and then have it tuned.

You will get the same HP and save a ton on the inflated price and the install.

This or I’m sure there is another good M6G thread specifically on this kit.

You are lucky in the US you can get it, for now. Elsewhere you can’t. See below:

RE: M-9603-M8B, 2018-2020 Mustang Performance Pack advice request.

Good Morning-

The calibration is different for US/CAN and EU/Asia Pacific (which includes Australia). We do not have a calibration for an Australian market car, and if you were to purchase this kit and try to download/install it, it would not work simply because there is no calibration available.

Hope this helps clarify things.

I can’t understand this as similar comes on the Bullitt and the Mach1 out here. And maybe the tune is a bit different to meet ADR, but it’s still better and gives the small HP increase but it’s the low TQ bump that is preferred for a daily driver. The big one is the 10R80 tune that comes with it, not available separately. (If applicable to you) That trans tune gets great reviews, rather than some of the more harsh shifting aftermarket tunes.

Short answer. For what it is, I’d get one if I could during the US discount sales periods, but alas, we don’t have the option.
