Hi guys I'm buying a 2016 Magnetic Grey 5.0 tomorrow(pending this is a good deal) and I want to get some feed back.

2016 Magnetic Grey Prem. 5.0
-Perf pack
-Reverse sensing
-Voice Nav
MSRP $40,880

Paying
$37,000 after (Does not include TTL)

I got screwed royally when buying my first car. I did absolutely no research. This time I've done tons of research and I just want to make sure I've got a good deal here.

Or should I just wait for the 17's? Thanks!

The only thing that's been announced for changed to the 17's are different exterior colors.
There's not going to be any more HP and the Android Auto/Apple car play that the 17's will come with, will be available as a free upgrade to the 16's. I say go with the 16.
If you want an idea on how good your deal is go to Edmunds.com and price out the car. I wouldn't put too much faith in the "what others are paying" number. But check out the invoice number. If you are close to that, you got a good deal. On cars that dealers are desperate to get off the lots, you can go under invoice, but the Mustang sells well enough that, while possible, is rare.

Your other option is to join the Mustang Club of America for $50 and get the Mustang at X-Plan pricing.

What is invoice on it? You should be able to get $400 under invoice. Also make sure they state any dealer doc fees in the price. You should be able to negotiate on those as well. I got my dealer down to zero fees.

Sounds like a pretty good deal for your options. True car invoice 38,872 and their estimate of what you should pay is 37,522. Although I found a couple places that are advertising 6-7k discounts, but you have to take one off the lot and the places I found are not close to me at all.

I've figured invoice to be about $38,872. I've gotten all the dealer fees and $37,000 is the final price of the car without any variable cost such as TTL, and financing.

They are trying to work me over on the trade in though; I figured that would happen. I'm driving up there this afternoon.

Yeah, I'm trying to find out what they will give me for my trade too. If I can't come close to breaking even I may have to call it off for a couple years. BTW, I just found some new incentives at true car that I may qualify for such as having Geico insurance and American express for 200 each and if I were to sign up with AAA, another 100. I know not a lot, but it all adds up.

Sweet I have Geico. I just checked Ford's site and Edmunds. There incentives are not showing up, I wonder what's going on.

I think you can do better. $37,000 is my goal for these options:

401A
PP
Premier Trim

Reverse sensing I can live without and voice nav is not needed especially with Android Auto.

See if you can do $35,000 which is 5k off MSRP.

MSRP is 40,880
so 40,880-5000=$35,880
Isn't that lower than Xplan pricing.

Wouldn't those options put you right in the same ball park as me?
I'm sure I could get $100-$200 more, and also the $750 customer cash but I'm financing through Ford.

X Plan should be your fallback. Dealers CAN beat it and do it all the time. Don't forget, it's also tax season so getting the absolute best deal right now is hard plus the temperature outside is raising. I plan on shopping around November and December.

The rebates I wouldn't mention at all till the very end. Work down that price before TTL. $500 conquest and the $750 private afterwards.

The 16's I was looking at had a 43k MSRP in some cases but had options I didn't care for.

Conquest?"Customers that currently lease a non-Ford/Lincoln/Mercury Motor Company Car, SUV or Light Duty"-

How would I get that?

What is the 500 conquest?
The 750 private is easy to get, but I've not heard of the conquest...

Start a lease on a non-Ford product, and show up to your Ford dealer  You'd have to trade it in...not sure what the lease penalties would be for pulling a stunt like that
