I think I may have a burnt valve..

Did a compression test and numbers are OK.

What should I do? Full out replace the head? I think its only passenger.

I'd confirm the problem before I did anything else.

Ouch!

How do you know this is the issue? What are the symptoms? Wonder if a boroscope through the spark plug hole would show anything if you could turn it to see the valves?

Unfortunately, compression test doesn’t always reveal the issue. Run an actual leak down test on it. If there’s problems with the pistons or valves, it will bleed off and you’ll need to pull the head anyway

18 smoke is right. Do a leak down, this will help determine where it is before you start taking things apart. Unless something went lean, modern valves don't fail very often like they did years ago.

Let me do a leakdown and I will keep you guys posted.. I thought it was my rings as well but my mechanic confirmed to me that it is not.
When he put the car back together I started having the issue again and he said only thing left is burnt valve.

Is there an upgrade I can perform to the head? I might as well spend a couple hundred dollars mode and get an upgraded version

Or is there anything that'll bolt right on.. I know the GT350 heads are an option but you need to get the cam, etc.

Update:
Lost 3 cylinders, 1,3 and 4
compression 30-50
The rest are healthy. It was in fact the rings, my previous mechanic fucked me over. Put the car back together with a SERIOUS oil leak and while I was driving the car leaked all the oil.
Not enough lubrication, mechanic went AWOL.

No longer replying to my msgs, picking up calls, and is not there anymore because he knows my shortblock is fucked.

Man, that sucks. I know it’s not cheap, but go with a reputable builder and get it done right. Good luck!

I found a new mechanic, my original mechanic did most of the installs on my car. My car was leaking but he said it was from oil in and around the engine bay stuck in the plastic trms slowly dripping down.. All I could do was believe him, I checked the dipstick and it looked OK then I drove 1.5 hr back to my area and I think most the oil came out.
Really it was my valve covers not on properly/sealed which is why ALL my oil seeped out when I gave it some gas.
Car was pushing so much oil out when I lifted my hood the black cloth thing thats attached to the hood was DRENCHED in oil. Like so much that I put a microfiber on it and pressed it and the microfiber was soaked as well.

Compression test was originally OK, i think this all happened because of the lack of oil in my car. Only coming from the issue of the install being done incorrectly.

I took it to another shop they said the same thing, huge gap between valve cover and all the oil was coming out from there.
