I got quote from dealer and body shop for a thousand for the valance by itself...not sure what you are pricing...can you share a link?

I see what you are looking at. Fordparts.com lists one for about $1000. When mine was fixed a year ago, the rear valence was complete with the stainless tips and retailed for $3900 or so. Maybe they have come down or include less parts. I hope parts are getting cheaper. It cost almost $6000 to do my rear bumper.

I feel the pain.

I had someone scrape across my back bumper in a parking lot while i was in the store for 10 minutes. It was not a tight lot either. Got a big crease thanks to some asshat.

You might be able to find a rear bumper cover in the same color of your vehicle for less than buying new. Then just have body shop mount, install valance and stripe kit.

Yep, you called it. $208 for the bumper only. Thank gosh they sell the stripe kit in sections.

My dealer only sells the full stripe kit and wont reduce the price if I only wanted to replace a specific section!

claiming it won't necessarily raise your rates. claims are why you have insurance. why just give them money for no return?
