It is my understanding that the GT500 and GT350 use the same chassis and bumper mount positions, are the bumpers interchangable? does the OEM 350 bumper fit the GT500 and vise versa?

It’s not just the front fascia, you need to consider the fenders and the hood, as well as the cooling inlets. And how the cross fit, I’m guessing they don’t.

I see, I was originally thinking I could use one of the conversion bumpers for the Mustang GT to GT500 bumper but then realized those weren't compatible with the GT350.

If you love it, go for it my friend… it’s YOUR car!
I personally like the 350 front end over the 500 front end.
Some folks have referred to the 350 front end to a cat fish face… I like cat fish.
My wife hates the fact that the GT350 emblem in the grill is not centered… she says I should put that in the center. Yeah, uhhh……….NO!

Those who don’t like your opinion can use their G.P.S.

G.P.S. = Go Pound Sand…!

It's hard to say whether it's actually that simple, though. I believe the front upper cross piece is the same, but if the GT500 hood has hood pin holes, then you'll need to do some machining or else replace it. I think the late GT350's have the right holes in the brace, but earlier ones don't. Then there are the unseen bits like the radiator surround, the fender liners, the various brackets and bits that hold it together and of course the underbody aero pieces. Any, and indeed all, of those might well be different.

If I remember correctly, there was an thread on this forum a year or two ago by a member who worked in a body shop and was doing this transition. Might be worth a search.

There's a thread here showing a GT500 hood on a 350, and the amount of work needed just to the fenders alone to make the hood fit. Definitely not just an easy swap

yeah I saw his post although he was trying to keep his original GT350 fenders.
I'd prob swap out my fenders for GT500 ones if I can figure out I can get everything to mate up.

Found a specialist who does a lot of body work on newer mustangs and GT350s and GT500s.
He's telling me that as long as the Carbon Composite Radiator Core Support is 2019+ it will work, since that will have the mounts needed for the hood pins.

Seems everything else is the same between the GT500 and GT350.
