I don't think we can use VINs for Bullitt production numbers at all, since they don't have separate VINs. My VIN is xxx7141, so slightly behind yours (my build date is August 2019), but probably produced on the same week. Or maybe even the same day :).

Yeah, you beat me. And the guy above probably too. Mine is K7979. I think we can use those numbers for 2019 Bullitt production, no? I assume they started with 0001, even if several of the first ones were only pre-production models. So looks like Ford made roughly 8,000 2019 Bullitts. That's A LOT more than I expected, since you still have to add all the GTs, but not an exorbitant amount either. Wonder what's the current number on 2020s.
The only S550 I know of where the VIN coincides with an actual assembly line build # and dash badge would be the true 2015 50th Anniversary Mustangs where only 1,964 were produced.

I don’t even think the Shelby’s are VIN’d and badge numbered as such.

Oh yeah, I know our cars chassis and VIN numbers don't coincide... but we know by the plaques how many were built :D. And the good news is that number is a worldwide number, so there were less than 8K sold in the US, which is good for us. I'm sure well over half were sold in the US, but I'm curious about that number. Maybe 5K? But at least it's less than 8K :). Due to COVID, there are waaay less 2020s.

We'll probably never know the exact number of US Bullitts sold. But as I said, at least we know how many overall were produced thanks to the dash plaques. The highest 2019 reported I think was K8044, if I remember correctly. Haven't heard about 2020 lately, but last one was L34xx, if memory serves me right.

My last email with ford show parts they stated they are currently working on the numbers. this was late September.

"Still counting" - I believe we will get the country breakouts. My contact is still waiting on some data from the plant to verify what they have derived from the raw data.

If you use 8,044 that means 10% of all Mustangs built in 2019 (80,700 worldwide) were Bullitts. That's a very large percentage, IMO.

Yeah, that's a lot of them. And that number is what it is worldwide, or ultra close to that. Curious about 2020s, but should be less than 4K for sure. I've only seen low L3xxx numbers.

Mine - which I bought just over a month ago - is L3456. It has a date of 9/10/2020 at the bottom of the window sticker. Not certain what means though.

The actual build date is the one on TOP of the window sticker, where it says 'BLEND'. It's in yyyy/mm/dd format. It should be later than the one below. Mine was 7/30/19 below, and 8/09/19 above, which happens to be its official build date. By the way, your car should be one of the last ones produced, so looks like overall production won't even reach 3,500. We should know later on.

Hey, everyone! I just wanted to jump into the discussion. I picked up my 2020 Bullitt a couple of weeks ago. The badge number is L3498. I was shocked that a dealer in my area was getting one this late in the year. My assumption is their order was affected by the plant shut down earlier in the year. I believe it was the only new Bullitt available in MN. After searching around a bit, it looks like there still might be a few trickling into dealerships.

Interesting. Your number is 2 shy of 3,500 produced worldwide for 2020, so it might reach it... but probably not by much.

Great info, and I'd say probably 99.9% reliable :). My K7979 car is 99.2% newer than the rest, so one of the last ones. Curious when 2019 production ceased. My build date was August 09, 2019. Does anybody know, by any chance? Just curious. Thx.
