Bullitt decklid panel - anyone replaced it?

To each their own. I like the look of the stock bullitt. Yes....kind of big. But the car is a Bullitt. Not a gt. Dont want it to look like one.
I ordered my 15 gt from the factory with the 50 yr anv pack. The rear badge for that was tastefull. Nice

Noticed it's the same 'dog plate' as the 50th, but with 'Bullitt' instead. I warmed up to it once I saw it in person. And that's the only exterior 'badge', so I was okay with that. Plus rather have that, than a blue oval, to be brutally honest .

Are you getting rid of the chrome window trim? I've been looking around for the chrome trim everywhere.

Hey, found an alternative to the 'dog plate' on an unrelated thread (winter tires) over the IMBOC forum. See photo below. Asked the guy for info, but he hasn't replied, and probably won't. But at least there's one more idea. Seems like he used the FP blank part, and then attached the letters (hopefully S/S ). Looks good, no?

Eheh.. there isn't much to know I think, it's the blank panel (FP or similar) with adhesive chrome letters on it (you can buy of different styles). It's a good idea, very clean and effective.

Cool; thanks. It's obviously the OEM FP panel, which is great, since it's a factory piece. So just where did you get the letters, are they chromed, and did they come with adhesive backing? Thanks .

Soz if I answer for him.. that's the BULITT emblem from the 2001 Mustang trunk, there's even a OEM part from Ford.. although pretty expensive (if compared with Chinese clones). It's adhesive and in plastic (brush metal chromed).

Yep, exactly right. It's a FP panel, and OE Ford letters from the 2001 Bullitt. Comes with the PSA already applied. I sure didn't pay ~$100 for the letters; but they were $40 or $50 . There's a thread back from late 2018 that details the p/n's and installation - search the forum for "dogbowl". The FP panel is far and away higher quality than aftermarket panels I've seen, but you gotta pay the price. I thought the the horizontal "lines" look great with the 2001 B U L L I T T on the panel, but the FP looks a little barren w/o something in the center. I have a second FP panel that had a pinstriper/hot rod illustrator paint the Bullitt logo and lettering that is really spectacular! I'm out of the country right now; will take a pic next month and post.

Pulled the trigger... ordered the 2018-2019 deck lid and a set of NOS 2001 BULLITT letters. Also will order a pair of the White Euro Tail lights!!
