Looks like it went to the same guy who buys all the BJ charity cars...he earlier paid $250k for the log car that went to benefit MoH museum. He also redonated that particular car and it sold 2 more times.

I personally found that car really dumb. Nice cause, but, wtf with that car.

Sorry but no. Auction starting price has nonrelation to msrp. Part of the auction game...start a bit low and get folks involved.

Easily
Msrp still undecided and BJ would not be informed of it anyway. No chance of that car going for anything under 150k. Issue was just how much over. If they start at 25k too cheap and disinterests big $$ buyers, at 100k too greedy too early and bidders disappear. Starting at $50k a nice starting point and nothing else.

What I didn't like is that they use CGI to preview the car instead of real video the CGI didn't do the car justice.

$$$ issue....film rights. Gotta pay to play. Marketing deal with Ford probably limits use of film footage.
