I put in Vibrant 12" resonators after the H-pipe when i removed the cats. I think an 18" would fit on the MRT H-pipe if needed to knock it down a little more.

Dynomax bullets are cheap and stainless. Probably the best bang for buck

Anybody have any idea how much HP a resonator eats up?

Bullets right off my headers made my Corsa Sport sound great.

I put in 9" Schonfeld IMCA 9DB mufflers. $32 each. Dynomax bullets are cheaper & will work also.

I have same combo and told myself once spring comes around I will look to tame it.

Where exactly are these going...do we cut the x pipe and weld them in or? Pics would be very very helpful.

they fit right in where the stock resonator was. my car the shop put them in behind the H. here is a pic of someone else's setup with an x.

What does your car sound like? I have the Comp Spec RTR with the factory resonator still in and it is loud as hell. :headbang: Can't imagine without the resonator how much louder it would be.

Well I have the street spec so I don't know how much louder the race spec is if any... But once I removed the cats even with the 12" resonators it is pretty gnarly loud on cold startup, and when you have your foot buried. Nice rumble otherwise.

Honestly if I were to do over again I would go with the 18" resonators to knock it down a smidge more. The 12" reso only really has about 6" of chamber since the flanges take up about 3" on either side so the 18" would be about double the muffled chamber length.

That is exactly how mine looks, although an H-pipe has a little more room of straight pipe before the bend.
