I ordered a 2016 Ecoboost Premium (Guard, Automatic) with Performance Package. Very much looking forward to it! I've been interested in getting a Mustang for about ... six years now, and the time has finally arrived. All praise is due to my wife who finally gave me the last push to pull the trigger. No plans to mod it extensively at this point. Maybe some better floor mats. That's about it :)

Yeah right ! Let's revisit this thread in 6 months and see if you've only swapped the floor mats !:)
Congrats on the Mustang .

I should know better than to make publicly accountable statements on the internet by now.

It always starts with floor mats, then tinted windows, then axle-backs, then springs, then .....i'm sure you get the picture.:)

2016 Quality Impression

Went to local dealer this morning that had two MY16 GT's one of which was a PP on the lot and here is my take:

1) Photo posted of hood vent turn signal. I like it.
2) Rear Window Alignment still an issue. Both had slight variances. Looks better than pics of MY15's I have seen. Improved but not resolved.
3) Front Qtr panel on one was sticking out needed adjustment, other than that most looked good.
4) One of them had a scratch on lower at panel by front chin splitter that had a black circle around it. Looks like they identified and will most likely repair once sold and see if other issues come up.
5) One had paint peeling off on front Qtr panel edge that was tucked under by the hood. Needs to be touched up.
6) One had 98.6 miles on it. I'm hooping that this was one of the early ones that they ran through extra QC because I will be VERY disappointed if mine comes in with 98.6 miles.
7) Both of the interiors were much dirtier then I would imagine a dealer putting out for display. Numerous areas of the interior black components had scuff marks and looked dull like you would see in a 2 year old car.

My take away is that I am going to take plenty of time to inspect mine when I first get to the dealer before doing any paperwork. I am going to let my salesman know that plan on giving me a good hour to inspect the car for issues.

Also went to the dealer today. They had two new V6s and the rear window was perfect on both. Also, the front "problem area" by the headlights was fine on both. Hope mine is the same!

Went down to staples today and for less then $5.00 had them print a full size color copy of my window sticker and laminated it :headbang:

Also picked up a new Canon Powershot so I can document my build :D playing with the settings to see what posts the best. Do you like the larger phtos or the smaller ones? Thanks

Is peeling paint near the headlight a common issue? Just want to know some problem areas to pay close attention to before I take delivery of my incoming 2016.

I don't recall reading that it was an issue. I just followed each seam and edge along the car and that's how I noticed it. I plan on taking plenty of time and looking over every inch before I sign paperwork. The way I look at it is it will be time well spent. Hopefully as more people pick up their cars we will get some reports. Also this is why they build dealer stock before our custom orders so that they can identify QC issues and get them resolved before they start building customer orders. Best of luck on yours

Big thanks to Deysha for getting forum members info on their cars.

Was getting worried it was lost in the system with all the August orders getting blend dates. Once i got my VIN from Deysha i was able to track the car. Now things are moving fast.

Very little info but it was something until the window sticker went live.
You’re very welcome, gov cheese!

Long time listener, first time caller ... Ordered on 8/23, got my VIN and window sticker this week! Looks like it'll be built next week!
Welcome and congrats, archaica! You’re welcomed to PM me with your VIN for updates.

Mine is set for Tuesday. Dealer gave me an ETA of 10/17/2015, give or take a week he said. Hopefully sooner, just started ordering stuff last night for it, let the mods boxes stack up.

Well, today is supposed to be the big build date for SC_Ruby :headbang: Hopefully things roll through the production line smoothly and delivery stays close to the ETA of 10/17 :headbang: Yesterday my Whipple SC kit came in and I shipped out my CF Grilles up to Race Mesh for the custom Grille to be built. Should be back close to the 10/17 ETA so all of my Mods will be in and waiting for the car
