Build Week 3/30

I ordered mine on 2/28. Build date was 4/17. Has been released to ship. My sales person is not making me happy. I told her I wasn't waiting a month and will cancel if not here on 15th.

I agree, next week will be the wtf week for me, if my buddies order with the same dealer ships out next week. It basically says my car has a problem with no explanation, this lowers the customer's trust.

Today is three months since I put my order in. Still no car but the sales manager insisted I will have the car no later than Saturday. I'm a gluten for punishment!:headbonk: On the bright side of things maybe the rebates will go up May 1st.

Got "the call" today...
Cannot take delivery until tomorrow, but they let me take it out for a shakedown run. Oh man what a ride! All the body panels are spot on and the rear window is straight and true.

What are you guys checking for when you get your cars? Have these had poor panel alignment? Someone give me cliffs on the rear window issues?

bbb, check out page 35 of this thread. There is a good picture of the rear window issue. From what I've read in the body panel thread Ford cannot fix it.

Well my dealer was wrong of course. Shipment of cars came in late last night and guess which one wasn't on it.

Tell me about it, that now makes one month that it's been awaiting shipment and nobody at ford can tell me anything.

My dealer was convinced my car would be in this past weekend and has since decided that maybe something is wrong and has contacted Ford Service. Unfortunately I had previously talked to Ford Service and I know that they don't know anything.

I assume you are in the same boat I was. I couldn't find the car with the options and color I wanted. I looked within a 500 miles radius and found nothing. Have you looked recently for cars that match your requirements? I hope you get it figured out soon!

I am in the same boat, and since I wanted ACC and saddle interior I'm stuck with this order. If I drop ACC and saddle, then I could probably find something. If it doesn't ship next week, I'll probably look at this option if the dealer is willing.

I found the same car I ordered in Nebraska sitting at a dealer. I'm thinking about having my dealer just ship this one in.

Ford service just said that cars released on 4/7 from the plant hold (I'm in that bundle) have begun shipping. Deysha said one went out a little while ago. This could be good news.
