Finally got in talked to the Ford Regional Customer Service Mgr about my car. My car was put on hold for a "Known build issue" at the plant, and a Ford employee was sent the the rail yard to check/repair the issue. It has now been released, and is awaiting shipment. Anybody know what this issue could be? It must be related to options as not all cars built this week were affected.

My car was put on hold for a "Known build issue" at the plant, and a Ford employee was sent the the rail yard to check/repair the issue. It has now been released, and is awaiting shipment. Anybody know what this issue could be? It must be related to options as not all cars built this week were affected.
What's your trim/options?

I'm GT Premium - Manual - Navigation and I had no hold.

GT Premium, Manual, 401A, Navigation, Security, 3.55 axle, spare tire, park assist, 50th anniversary trim

Dealer also called the rail yard directly and was told it was a "labelling issue". Maybe there was a label misprint??:shrug:

I just called the Ford Customer service main number, explained my situation and a "Case number" was created. I was then called back by the regional customer service mgr.

However, if it were a labeling issue than it could be just about anything anything, and nothing I would worry about. Maybe one of the 50th anniversary trim pieces?

No kidding... My sales guy said my car was supposed to be delivered 4/18 but was recalled back for some issue then re-released from the plant on 4/13 and is currently awaiting shipment. Extremely frustrating and I'm concerned about what the issue was... 3 weeks and counting awaiting shipment. Ill call that number and see what I can figure out. I'm contemplating canceling if it hits 4 weeks in awaiting shipment.

That's the number I always call to try to get updates on my car but they never know anything more than "awaiting shipment."

Just found an ecoboost also special ordered through my dealer. My large number on the top left is 000105, this one is 000106. He has an EDD of 4/26 (same as my original) but is still awaiting shipment as well. It was also built 3/30.

Another gt also special ordered from my dealer shipped out by convoy on 4/5 with an EDD of 4/25. This is annoying.

If it is any issue, (like y'all claim it to be) i wouldn't think it is minor. "labels" or whatnot. Minor issues like these could be fixed at the dealer.

A normal factory order takes at least 1 month, (check any other vins from your dealer and track it on Cotus) you'll find it yourself.They are saying that my car is still sitting at the base for a month after it being built and I ordered late Jan. Rail car shortage or whatever the case may be, I am not believing everything they tell me, just gonna be adamant about asking for shipment history before I sign the paperwork. And i think all ya guys that are delayed should too.

The must puzzling/annoying piece of this is that the 4/06 build week seems to have been sent through just fine, but the week before and after is stuck with no EDD. In the end, knowing why would probably quiet most folks. I trust Ford to take care of whatever it is, but having knowledge and updated timeline is desired.
