What happens after these cars get built? Are Fusions built along side of our Mustangs at the present time? I assume that those cars that are loaded on transporters versus auto park are loaded in separate areas. What dictates when a train leaves? As far as convoy, it seems like it should be loaded after QC! There has to be a logic to the shipment of our cars.

After a few days of not having a EDD, my car is once again scheduled to arrive on 4/20. Don't know how accurate that is as it's still "Awaiting Shipment". Those of you who also lost the EDD, keep checking throughout the day to see if it returns.

Fusions and Mustangs are built on the same line. Once they are cleared to be shipped it really falls out of Ford's hands. They'll be parked and await a transport company to take them away on car carriers, or load them into rail cars. In either case the transport company is now in charge of how fast it gets to the dealer. Fortunately, they don't make money by holding things up, so they want to get them delivered ASAP.

My car showed an "Estimate Delivery" of 4/16. IIRC it was a EDD prior to it just now reappearing. Don't know if that matters, but I am pretty sure it was different wording this time.

Atleast fighting with the girlfriend helped a couple days pass faster... I didn't tell her that

If I look at other cars on my dealers lot, they seem to arrive an average of 3 days after their blend date. According to COTUS, my car was built last Monday (even though my blend was tuesday). So it is 8 days and counting. I still think something is up.

Mine just showed in transit this morning, with Awaiting Shipment complete on 4/2. No EDD showing still.

I think COTUS is broke. Now mine show in transit with a new EDD of 4/22/15. I'll see if my dealer calls. Maybe the FordService guys know something. Maybe there was an Easter/Passover delay!

My build week was 3/9/15 and I'm still waiting for my car. Its almost been sitting awaiting shipment for a full month now. Weird thing is my dealer has cars on its lot already that had a blend date of 3/16/15. Don't get it!

So I've been e-mail my salesman all afternoon. Here is what he says about my car:

According to my system, it has been released, assigned to be shipped, then re-released and now it's waiting to be reassigned to the shipping company.

So then I asked him about the other car that showed up on their dealer website that is identical to mine.

Funny story. When we were trying to figure out what happened with your order, we built a duplicate to see if it would be held up as well. The following week, yours finally got picked up and we forgot to go back in and change it to something else. So we will have another one exactly like yours.

That car, it was built yesterday and is showing as In Transit. I'm guessing they'll come in on the same truck at this point. I told him I call dibs on whichever one has better panel alignment.

A little, but I still find myself jealous of your program...

Mine now has no estimated date of arrival. Just this morning I did.... I am just going to go back to the weekly checks. This irregularity is driving me crazy...
