Today's the day, Ski3143! Congrats on your new ride. I know she's gonna make you a proud owner. :clap2:

Jeff :ford:
I certainly hope so. I'm withholding judgement until I can make sure all the panels fit, the leather looks good, and it doesn't leak. I'll update later tonight for sure.

SO NERVOUS.

So many 2/9 build people seem to think that because Flat Rock has held their cars for a month, that Flat Rock has been doing multiple QC on them. My best guess is that the cars were held for a specific problem (firewall?) and just stored away. FR had hundreds of cars after that to get ready for shipping, which is why cars built two weeks later are being delivered. I will believe the 'extra' QC care when I finally get to see my convertible.

I don't know how many 2/9 dates are being held...But that is not the BIG hold week. It is the 2/2 week that is the big one....

Same group of cars. The hold started on 2/2 and went through 2/10. Some 2/2 cars made it through and some 2/10 cars as well. Strangely enough a few 2/9 cars actually missed the hold.

And tsunami is right. Our cars aren't going through any extra inspections. Ford just isn't putting any special priority on fixing whatever they screwed up. It's taking so long because it takes a while to repair 4000 cars when you're only doing one at a time.

Guys, believe the QC hold excuse. I just picked it up last night and have gone over it with a fine tooth comb. Pictures in the following imgur album for proof. It looks AMAZING and the fit on all panels is perfect. I don't have the wobble in the gearbox between 50 and 70 either. Also the seat leather looks good as well. It was totally worth the extra few days for them to make sure this thing was perfect.

Everybody in the Feb 2-9th build date, hang in there!! I picked up my Magentic with redline interior yesterday. Build date was Feb 9th. Like vsfan above all panels good. Manuel tranny is smooth as silk. Had to drive 100 kms home on the highway and it purred little the pony she is--awesome awesome car!! Also for those contemplating the redline (non recaro)--do it!! More comments in the interior than exterior. It is NOT too red!! If I can figure out how to post pic's I will

Glad to hear that good news! I ordered the same Magnetic/Red Line non-Recaro combo as you. Not very many dealers have that combination, it's pretty unique. Photos would be great!

C'mon Ford, I want my damn car!!!

I am just curious. were you following its progress on COTUS the whole time? And if so, was COTUS accurate in tracking its progress?
The reason I ask, is because I am in the 2/2 build week, and COTUS has been showing mine as "awaiting shipment" since 2/6. No movement since then.

Not him, but, COTUS was fairly accurate with mine. I had a build date of 2/11, and the dealership got it 1 day after it was marked as delivered. But that may just have been them taking their time with the PDI and stuff.

I think my convertible is sitting on the last line of the 4000. COTUS shows no movement since 2/10! My latest EDD is 3/17...which I will believe if the car shows up on that day, but not holding my breath. COTUS has changed my EDD about once a week.

At least you get an update. I haven't had an update since the 20th with my estimated date of arrival was.and that's of February 20. I'll be lucky to get my car a month after the estimated delivery date.I have my dealer trying to look into this more but I have not heard any word back yet.I will let everybody know what my salesman tells me. They're waiting to hear back from zone rep. Haha

What would be a good vanity plate to have with this QC hold and the wait?

Well mine finally updated! I'm now in transit after being stuck in awaiting shipment since Feb. 10th. My EDD got bumped one day to 3/18/15. I'm hoping to get some rail car information asap. I swear if that damn thing derails...:headbonk: Lol.
