Build week 2/23/15

I just checked COtus before heading off to bed. For first time my VIN says No Matching Veh, found. I know not to worry (Beta COtus after all ;), but I can't recall if this was a random glitch people encounter or if I vaguely recall it was a precursor to some next (good) forward step.

What say you guys, random or harbinger of progress to a next step?

This happens from time to time. Give a little while and try again. COTUS
is far from perfect.

Anyone else just have their 2/23 date kicked out 12 days?

My sales mgr. had told me two weeks after placing my order (1/5) that my build date was 2/23. He said that translated to delivery in the 3rd week of March. Later, Rachel also tells me that 2/23 is my actual build date, but sometimes dates slip, so it was not cast in stone.

Yesterday I got a voice mail from my sales mgr saying the build date was scheduled for March 7th (no mention of the 2/23 date he told me two weeks into my order). That is a 12 day move. And March 7th is a Saturday??

1) anyone else get their 2/23 build date (not build week) postponed almost two weeks?
2) Does the plant actually 'schedule' build dates on Saturdays?

I just left a voice message asking if he knows why it might have kicked out 12 days. I will PM Rachel to ask what her tracking shows.

Mine was Moved from 2/22 to 2/24. Only a two day change. I feel for you Davekro. Your's took a BIG jump.....
Uh oh, Sorry I misread your post. you were specifically talking about (BUILD DAY), not delivery Day........

False alarm. Dealer misread the tracker!

I just heard back from our resident (angel) Ford service rep. Rachel. There is no change to my order. The dealer must have misread the tracker. I was panicked, but with Rachel's speedy response, I can resume normal life again. :ford:

2/23 Build Week folks please report current status.

Please post your Build date and EDD dates (and date you heard that info). Best if you would post the original and each iteration of Build and EDD dates that you have had reported to you (By Rachel? by dealer?).

My last updated info was per Rachel (FordService) on 2/10 with
Build Date (not week) of 2/23. This build date and the Cotus shown
EDD of 3/13
had not changed as of 2/10. I will send a PM to Rachel to see if my dates show a change on her tracker since the last update (way back on 2/10).

With some date slipping in weeks 2/2 & 2/16, I am very curious of the 2/23 build week folks build date and EDD shifts, if any.


On the 2/2 Build Week thread we're reading about some folk's car's either sitting in (QC?) limbo or maybe w/ build dates slipped.

On the 2/16 Build Week thread we're reading some about folks car's scheduled Blend dates slipping 1-3 days.

I heard from Rachel today. No change to my original 2/23 Build/Blend date nor to my 3/13/13 EDD.
No $750 Private cash brochure coupons (or plain brochures) rec'd.
Just sittin' on my hands until later this week when I hope to see my window sticker link appear, then wait for it to become active. )

I am just back from 8 days in Riviera Maya and no change in my COTUS data, still 3/16 EDD. :-)

Is it most common that Cotus does not show the build date (or week) during our 'In Order Processing' timeframe? I have always just seen the EDD. And even with the 2/2 week 'holds' and a few date slips in 2/16 week, my EDD has never moved. I wonder if Ford's tracker (and Cotus) do not show date slips until say Window sticker link time ≈5 days before build date. I am hoping this is because production or QA slips and holds can be recovered from so as not to simply push out all future production dates. But more importantly, I hope Ford is making production line, panel stamping, weld jig changes to address the plethora of panel alignment issues reported here.

I fear those kind of changes may be larger than can be fixed on the fly during production and may require new long lead time stamping molds, etc.

What is this COTUS process, and how could I go about tracking a new GT that was just ordered? What data do you need to start the process, and will it give you real-time information?
