Yes, that's the same info I was told by my Dealer Manager.

Just called local auto delivery company and they state that they have SIXTEEN mustangs all sitting there waiting to be released to multiple dealers.

The shipping company says "There is a "2S Plant Quality Hold on them and they can't deliver them until Ford says OK."

Yup. I can't wait until I get my car that was already returned to the factory to be fixed only to be held up a second time because they are concerned about something else that is wrong with all mustangs? This car better be 100% perfect.

Look what I found at the rail yard!!!!
Now if ford would get off their asses and release the hold!!!!!
What a beauty, nortoncommando!

My dealership said the hold has been lifted and they just got a couple mustangs delivered.
It should get going in about a week, Digope.

Didn't take too many pics today even though I planned to. Got caught up detailing and put on about 150 miles running around town
It looks great, ManBearPig!!

Its on hold, its not on hold, its the seatbelt, its not the seatbelt, they are being released, they are not being released.
Gimme a break Ford.
We are adults, just tell us what happened and give a time line for resolution. The Ford rep told me yesterday she knew nothing about any holds or seatbelt issue. Great customer service!
Yeah, there is absolutely no communication internally at Ford.
Trucking company is telling me that there is a hold coming down form Ford.
VOPC is saying that there is a hold but won't share the reason.
Ford Customer Service Regional Manager just told me that there is no hold whatsoever on Ford's end.
The dealer says that there is nothing they can do to expedite it even though they have escalated it to their Zone/regional managers.

I understand this is frustrating, guys. However, as I’ve mentioned before, holds/delays are proprietary information to the plant and it’s not shared with us (the CRC). Some dealers and zone reps know people that know people and some information may get leaked, but no one will be able to confirm or deny it. All we can do is be patient and wait on them to be released to your dealers.

FordService Deysha, I understand what you are saying and know that you, as a customer service rep, get put in a bad spot with customers.

My feedback is that Ford needs to recognize the impact that these situations have on special order customers. It is also damaging to Ford's reputation since they are providing inconsistent feedback through the supply chain.

All companies have problems, their value is shown in how they respond to and take care of their customers when there problems occur.

Deysha,

First I think we all appreciate what you do to help keep us updated and relatively calm, so publicly thanks!

I think a large part of the frustration obviously is the lack of communication from Ford directly or through our Dealers, but also many are starting to have issues with financing approvals expiring, getting to and from work because their cars were sold, Incentives expiring, etc.

It would go a long way if there was a cohesive, singular message provided by Ford to our Dealers to relay to us with at least a "best guess" ETA like for those impacted by "delivery delays" estimated first 2 weeks of November for instance.

What a beauty, nortoncommando!

Well said. I sold my car a month ago and my financing expires in a week. My dealer has been fantastic and actually gave me a loaner car to keep me mobile... But the process went from excitement surrounding ordering a custom car to disappointment in the entire process.

The latest update on my tracking....

New column "ETA Disposition" says Pending Update.

The ETA Disposition field was blank yesterday.
What does Disposition mean? And wonder if that is a good or bad sign. Either way at at least something is changing lol!

That is a visibility report that you have to have a dealer login to access. The ETA Disposition column was blank on mine up until the hold was placed on the car. Then it was back filled with PENDING UPDATE. I believe the column is used just as a record of the final delivery date to the customer. (My guess though.)

Just called the VOPC a few minutes ago and they verified that the car does in fact have a hold on it with an unknown ETA.
