Well, after 30 phone calls to my caseworkers supervisor and no answer, I called the main number, and was able to speak to the manager of the RAV department.

He physically went to the financial department, pulled my file, and it is at the top of their list. He told me that I WILL have a worksheet within 48 hours.
Of course it went to the top of the list. The supervisor had "30 calls" in the pool. And the others laughed at him because "no way anyone calls that many times".

Hope you are driving it by Wednesday!

I'm persistent and unhappy haha. I hope they have caller ID and can see how many times I called and my calls weren't answered. Its ridiculous that you have to go through all of that to get a hold of someone.

The bad part is, its supposed to storm wed-fri, but, that would at least give me time to clay, polish, and seal the car.

Wednesday would be absolutely phenomenal.

Im going to go today to check the car out and hopefully drive it haha.

Went and saw the car, and of course got to drive it. I’m impressed with how different the 2018 feels vs the 2017. Feels like a whole different car.

Right? I love my 18, all the little things really add up.
Did they fix all the IRS compliance issues the first gens have? That is probably my only real big gripe about the stock car, the IRS really limits what the car can manage to do in stock form because it's very difficult to put any power down in the lower gears. It's just slow off the line compared to the Camaro SS and the R/T Scat Packs.

Highly doubt anything has changed as top priority from the factory is control of NVH. However a simple call to BMR can fix that at a relatively low cost.

Got some of the paperwork today. The dealer had to write up the financial information and send it back to the RAV department. The finance manager and new car manager actually had to call the district manager of ford credit to find out how to get the paperwork done. (Apparently the new car manager and the DM at ford credit are friends of 30 or so years). So by tomorrow morning they should have everything set, and I should have the car.

I have not romped on it hard enough to say yet. What I can tell you is that from a DD perspective, the car is much nicer to drive. The clutch feels better, the throttle feels smoother, and the car just feels a little more sorted than before. The extra power is nice too, and so are the digital gauges on the 401a package. I debated between that an Magride for a while, but decided that I'd get more out of the 401a since I mostly putt around with my kids in the car...and at least then I wouldn't feel like I was looking at exactly the same interior as my 2016.

The communication between Ford RAV and the dealer is absolutely terrible.

So heres the fun I've had so far.

Got Page two of the worksheet yesterday. I was supposed to get page one, which shows the customer breakdown. The dealer got both pages so thats semi-ok and that can be pushed through.

The dealer called my caseworker, who was no help at all. They went above her, and that person told them that they need to re-write the original contract and just add the difference to the current loan.

Ford credit will not allow that(both ford credit and the RAV department know that)

So today, I called the RAV department, and asked them what the dealer needs to do to get this done and over with. RAV told me that (because I am not paying the $6200 difference in cash) the dealer needs to get a new loan done. From that point, once the new loan is through and they have confirmation of the proof of funds from the lender(not sure who the new loan will be through) I can take delivery of the new vehicle.

So then I called the dealer back, gave them that information, and they said they would have to call back to the RAV department and verify that. I gave the dealership the direct line to the person I talked to (my caseworkers supervisor)

Still REALLY hoping that this can happen today. This is absolutely insane. I am wayyyy beyond the boiling point with Ford. You would think that the RAV department would give the dealership clear instruction on how to process this, as its not something that happens on a daily basis, but they just left the dealer in the dark.

They weren't even giving me a loaner car for 2 days of warranty work since I hadn't bought the car from that dealership. Ford finally approved it since it was going to a body shop. When I asked for a Mustang, they said that they only had Focuses available. That POS had the worst transmission I've ever driven. Jerking and shuddering at takeoff and acceleration. Hopefully they're not all like that haha.

So, HOPEFULLY tomorrow.

Ugh. Dude, that sucks.

It does, but they wanted a day to be able to verify the payoff with RAV, which I can understand. I’ve already been approved for the amount unneeded to finance, so it should be an easy process here on out. “Should”
