Awesome news! Now go get your car! :headbang:

I'll keep that in mind when my EDD gets closer.

3606 lbs?
I believe that is the dry weight of the car, not curb weight. I don't think they have added certain fluids. The gas tank is almost certainly empty (which is 100-120 lbs I think). It may also not have coolant or even motor oil.

Either way, it's still pretty good news. I have almost all those exact same options, so my car should be the same weight. I'm glad that the performance pack doesn't seem to add too much weight. My guess is that those ~3800-lb piggy Stangs we've heard reports on have gotten much of their weight from 401A and maybe even the adaptive CC package.

EDIT: Holy ****, I just saw he DOES have 401A... Damn, that's crazy. That weight must be off then I would think.

They sold it to the highest bidder??? or someone absolutely had to have it and some other salesman fudged up? highly unlikely but i would not pass any doubt... that would be messed up... was it a dealer stock order? or retail?

That weight was base from a 2014... remember they did not have the weight published yet when that order was placed

why would anyone weigh a car without any fluids? what would be the point of that?

I don't think so... I'm pretty sure shipping weight is supposed to be the actual weight of the car being shipped. I think the freight services require a fairly accurate weight here.

And yeah, the weight wasn't published when the order was placed, but it sure was available by the time the car had a VIN. I'm pretty sure RisingForce was posting that image because it was the final dealer invoice, not a receipt from when the order was first placed. Hence why it had a VIN (and a shipping weight).

They wouldn't be weighing it for the purpose of proving consumer specs, it would be for shipping purposes.

The car is not filled with all necessary fluids when it's shipped from the factory, so if it's weighed at any point before leaving the dealer, you will not be measuring the curb weight. Not sure what the confusion is.

They drive the car on and off the truck and/or train.

Pretty sure it has the essential fluids at least. Not a full tank, but enough for moving it from truck to train to truck to lot.

That makes sense, but I've heard conflicting info on this -- that's why I said I wasn't sure about the oil, coolant, etc.

Anyway you slice it, though, that 3600-lb weight is baffling unless they really were using the 2014 weight (would be weird if they can do that).

Guarantee you they have full coolant and oil, and just a splash of gas. They are driveable. My shipping weight per the invoice is 3,635.

Helium in the tires.

I've seen an invoice of a certain Guard Mustang a lot of people are keen on, and it also shows 3606 shipping weight. Although the options are quite similar to this car.

I don't think it's too far off with no fuel.

LOL at the OP freaking out, understandable but still funny even with RF posting his invoice.
