Broke the Reverse Pull Up

Well Crap anyone else do this?
Looks like it's just plastic welded between the base and the pull up nob after it sandwiches the leather.

I installed a new shift boot and had to drill the plastic welds out, and glue it back together.

I used Loc-Tite brand plastic glue. It was a two part glue, one applicator had adhesion promoter, the other applicator was glue. It has held nice and strong so far.

I'd try getting it covered under warranty if it happened on it's own.

Seems like a really poor design. I'm not sure why they couldn't continue with the previous generation design of pushing down to unlock reverse.
Otherwise I believe you'll have to replace the boot assembly, which I believe is $50 or so.
