2020 GT PP1 10spd auto car...

Since the weather started to turn colder here in Michi-Gun I've had a problem with the brake lights sometimes staying "on" when the car is off/parked.
I discovered that the only way I could get them to turn off was to pump the pedal to build up a little back pressure which would raise the rested position of the pedal a "hair". Or to physically up-lift the brake pedal itself.
Before last night, as far as I knew, the only issue was when the car was turned off the brake lights would sometimes be stuck on.
Now, the brake light staying on is happening even when I'm driving (last night, I can see the upper brake light bar reflecting off the PP1 spoiler front edge).
Today, low-mid 40's temps, I can barely get the lights to turn off, even when the car is off...
I'm worried that when I finally have to put the car to bed for the winter (too soon!), and get my speed/acceleration juju on with my 800CC sled, that the brake lights will turn on in storage and drain the battery to nothing...

I got under the dash earlier this week and noticed that there doesn't seem to be any adjustability in the brake light switch assembly. It seems to be a fixed position switch which is essentially ball-socket attached to the brake pedal lever itself; no Gerry-rigging even possible...

Will replacing this pedal-mounted switch be a definitive "fix" to this situation, or is there something else I'm overlooking which could also cause this to happen and the switch itself might actually be fine???

Thanks....

IDK if it applies to your car/year but Ford has several recalls out for faulty brake light switches. You might look into that.
In any case, it's a 2020 and should be covered under warranty. Instead of shooting off the parts cannon just take it in and let Ford diagnose and fix it.
Edit - I should also mention that it doesn't really sound to me like a switch problem so much as maybe a brake booster/ master cylinder/ ABS issue. Pumping the brakes to build pressure to hold the pedal up doesn't sound like a switch issue.

I'll look into the recall thing.
