Let me save you all a ton of back ache….

This, believe it or not, actually works! I couldn't believe it.

You can find it almost anywhere including Walmart.

Nice try, Armor All Rep !

I have found that pressure washing the wheels is the best way to go. The first time I tried cleaning them, not only did the wheel cleaner i bought do absolutely nothing, but the special "wheel" cleaner rag ended up leaving swirl marks !!

Luckily we have one of those "self-serve" car washes very close. A pressure washer that can spray wheel cleaner at pretty high power levels...it works damn good.

That is why I said I could not believe it. Trust me. I am the most picky person when it comes to taking care of your vehicles paint and services. I would never use a product of theirs on anything normally.

This stuff works! Once you apply it, you do not have to clean the dust for weeks. If there is a storm and some rain, it will come off sooner, but it still is amazing.

I have been Road racing my fun cars for years and the German vehicles are the worst when it comes to this dust, and this stuff has changed my detailing life.

Yeah it goes from a piano black to a matte graphite look. To Joe everyman on the street they wouldn't know the difference, but it's obvious if you own the car.

Which is why I don't like gloss black wheels.

Given what a pain they are to clean, and that its a subtle difference to anyone but a Mustang expert, I am just going to let them be dirty most of the time.

I switched to Hawk Ceramics in my Brembo-equipped 2011 GT and the difference is amazing. Did the switch early summer and I've washed the wheels once since then.
Is braking performance as good or better than the stock pads?

For street use absolutely. Never tested on a track but then again I would get a dedicated track set anyway.

The Hawk Ceramics did require a more extensive bed-in though as they had very little feel for the first few days.

Thanks! I think this is what I will switch my stock PP pads to as the stock ones dust really bad.
